flat floorEnsure adequate fall to shower waste is achieved for good drainage on a flat floor.

hob wallWhere there is a tiled hob, the shower screen sits on top of the hob.

shower baseWhen using a Shower Base, the shower screen is installed similar to a tiled hob wall. There are several standard size shower bases available.

recessed floorThis is where tiles in the recess showering area are approximately 20mm lower than the main floor it’s the preferred manner for a tiled floor. You have the option to Install Shower Screens inside the recess eliminating any sill or installing shower screen on main floor.

Kewco Glass Splashbacks offer a pristine look that will enhance any kitchen. Imagine having no grout where bacteria can form. The low maintenance easy to clean splashbacks have fl at polished edges and they are waterproof, high impact, heat resistant and come in an endless choice of colours including metallic (ask for the latest colour chart). We use either clear or low iron 6mm toughened glass for safety and to comply with Australian Standards. Clear glass when painted will give off a soft aqua colour. Low Iron Glass is a high quality ultra clear glass and highlights any colour in its natural colour scheme, increasing the colour depth with its glossy surface.

Recommended Surface PreparationClient Responsibilities

• Surface should be clean and dry. If the surface is plastered or rendered brick ensure the wall is completely dry and sealed, using either a sealed MDF backing board or suitable paint fi nish.

• When choosing ULTRACOAT splashback, it is recommended that a white paint fi nish be applied to the base surface as an undercoat when using light colours.

• Make sure surface is true and plumb, with maximum dimensional tolerances of + or – 2mm.

• Ensure all power points are located in accordance with our cutting and shape limitations.

Electrical – General Power Outlets (GPO)Kewco is not licensed to remove or replace general power outlets. The customer should be aware that where power points or light switches are unfastened from a wall or disconnected during installation, a certifi cate of compliance should be issued by the relevant subcontractor.

Kewco to advise on weather GPO are to be removed.

InstallationInstaller’s Responsibilities

• Toughened glass should be installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1288

• When measuring and installing ULTRACOAT splashbacks, consideration must be given to manufacturing tolerances.

Cutting and Shape Limitations

Two or three way split maybe required with silicon butt joints denoted by broken line. A 3mm space is required around perimeter of glass and any silicone butt joints. To ensure no joints then A = ½ B max.

All center power point notches require a minimum of 35mm from any glass edge.

All corner and side notches will require a minimum internal radius corner of 8mm.

Cleaning RecommendationsULTRACOAT splashbacks should be kept clean of surface build up. General household cleaners recommended for glass are suitable as cleaning agents. Sponges, chamois and cloths may be used, but must be rinsed regularly to remove all foreign particles that could scratch the glass surface. Products like steel wool and scourer pads must never be used as they may scratch the surface.

Kewco Bathroom Products was established in 1954 by Keith Edward Walter in Adelaide with the support of his wife Carlien. A small fowl house was the beginning of today’s well established and successful business.

Later the fi rst factory and showroom was established at Woodlands Terrace, Edwardstown, with 8 employees. Within a few years it was necessary for further expansion and Kewco was relocated to our current address on Brighton Road and employs over 40 South Australians.

Today, with Keith in his retirement, Kewco remains a family owned company managed by Keith’s son Grant and with his daughters also involved within the company along with long serving dedicated employees.

With commitment to design, manufacture, installation and service, Kewco has earnt an enviable reputation as one of the leading bathroom product specialists in South Australia.

Kewco Mirage designed specifically for use with 6mm toughened glass, has a unique pivot design that allows for a totally frameless door. Utilising a stainless steel pivot pin, the Mirage Shower Screen System features a positive close low friction design mechanism, providing the benefit of whisper-quiet and trouble free operation. The plated corner stakes finish off the look of this perimeter framed shower screen when set at 180 degrees or 135 degrees. Talk to your Kewco specialist if this cannot be achieved. The lowering effect of the design automatically reduces the gap between door and sill on door closure, which further assists with the minimisation of external splashing and improved water resistance. Kewco Glass Splashbacks offer a pristine look that will enhance any kitchen. Imagine having no grout where bacteria can form. The low maintenance easy to clean splashbacks have fl at polished edges and they are waterproof, high impact, heat resistant and come in an endless choice of colours including metallic (ask for the latest colour chart). We use either clear or low iron 6mm toughened glass for safety and to comply with Australian Standards. Clear glass when painted will give off a soft aqua colour. Low Iron Glass is a high quality ultra clear glass and highlights any colour in its natural colour scheme, increasing the colour depth with its glossy surface.

Recommended Surface PreparationClient Responsibilities

• Surface should be clean and dry. If the surface is plastered or rendered brick ensure the wall is completely dry and sealed, using either a sealed MDF backing board or suitable paint fi nish.

• When choosing ULTRACOAT splashback, it is recommended that a white paint fi nish be applied to the base surface as an undercoat when using light colours.

• Make sure surface is true and plumb, with maximum dimensional tolerances of + or – 2mm.

• Ensure all power points are located in accordance with our cutting and shape limitations.

Electrical – General Power Outlets (GPO)Kewco is not licensed to remove or replace general power outlets. The customer should be aware that where power points or light switches are unfastened from a wall or disconnected during installation, a certifi cate of compliance should be issued by the relevant subcontractor.

Kewco to advise on weather GPO are to be removed.

InstallationInstaller’s Responsibilities

• Toughened glass should be installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1288

• When measuring and installing ULTRACOAT splashbacks, consideration must be given to manufacturing tolerances.

Cutting and Shape Limitations

Two or three way split maybe required with silicon butt joints denoted by broken line. A 3mm space is required around perimeter of glass and any silicone butt joints. To ensure no joints then A = ½ B max.

All center power point notches require a minimum of 35mm from any glass edge.

All corner and side notches will require a minimum internal radius corner of 8mm.

Cleaning RecommendationsULTRACOAT splashbacks should be kept clean of surface build up. General household cleaners recommended for glass are suitable as cleaning agents. Sponges, chamois and cloths may be used, but must be rinsed regularly to remove all foreign particles that could scratch the glass surface. Products like steel wool and scourer pads must never be used as they may scratch the surface.

Kewco Bathroom Products was established in 1954 by Keith Edward Walter in Adelaide with the support of his wife Carlien. A small fowl house was the beginning of today’s well established and successful business.

Later the fi rst factory and showroom was established at Woodlands Terrace, Edwardstown, with 8 employees. Within a few years it was necessary for further expansion and Kewco was relocated to our current address on Brighton Road and employs over 40 South Australians.

Today, with Keith in his retirement, Kewco remains a family owned company managed by Keith’s son Grant and with his daughters also involved within the company along with long serving dedicated employees.

With commitment to design, manufacture, installation and service, Kewco has earnt an enviable reputation as one of the leading bathroom product specialists in South Australia.
