International Ministry The International Ministry is enjoying a spurt of growth with the start of a new school year. Regular visitors from UCO, OC, and the OU Health Science Center have been attending the Inter-national Bible class on Sun-day and English conversation partners on Wednesday. The interest of UCO international students has prompted us to begin offering transportation on Sunday mornings and Wednes-day evenings. Last Saturday, September 6th, Clay & Cherry Hart taught sev-eral couples at a marriage improvement seminar. It was so well re-ceived that a follow-up event is being planned. The growth in this ministry has led to our move to the Summit for class in the gym on Sundays and in S1 on Wednesday nights. Upcoming events include a trip to the Oklahoma State Fair on September 20th and our next international worship and lunch in the Summit on October 5th. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help in this dynamic ministry, please get in touch with Clay Hart.

Launch/CIA Ladies Brunch How often have you prayed for God’s wisdom, help in a rela-tionship, or clarity regarding a job? Or have you prayed for re-newed energy, passion, or purpose? Do you wish, as I sometimes do, that God would answer your prayers by showing up “with skin on”? Thanks to the sweet invitation of the Launch class ladies (ap-proimately 22-26 years of age) to the young-at-heart plus-a-little-life-experience CIA ladies (ages witheld, but old enough to be their moms), many similar prayers are being answered through recent brunches together. We are excited as God draws us even closer this fall through mentoring groups. I applaud the Launch ladies for initiat-ing this time together, and I encourage other classes to reach out to each other as we make this journey to heaven together. It may just be an answer to someone’s prayer, perhaps even your own.

Adult Caregivers Support GroupThe MRCC Adult Caregivers Support Group was organized to offer support and perhaps some an-swers that one might need when caring for a loved one. Many find themselves unexpectedly caring for a family member who is ill, aging, or infirm. It is comforting to know that others share similar prob-lems and concerns. The support group tries to help those who are giving care to recognize some of the things they need to know and share. It is an oppor-tunity to share frustrations and the pain that some-times comes with the responsibility, and to help each other dis-cover answers. The support group, facilitated by Verna Lee Parker and David Cassel, meets in Room A110 on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. If you have questions or just need to talk about your caregiv-ing situation, contact Verna Lee or David.

A TIME FOR OUR GUESTS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CHURCH FAMILY. EVERY SUNDAY AT 9:35 A.M.
