The cholera outbreak which began on 26th December 2014 has affected a total of 30 counties. Twenty �ve (25) of these counties have managed to successfully control the outbreak. As of 9th May 2016, a total of 15,103 cases and 238 deaths (CFR=1.6%) had been reported nationally. Of the cases only 1,745 (12%) were laboratory con�rmed. Counties with active Cholera outbreaks are �ve (5). Four (4) of these Counties are experiencing the 1st wave of the outbreak (Wajir, Marsabit, Tana River and Mandera) and one (1) is reporting the 2nd wave (Garissa). A total of 200 new cases were reported in the last one week: 1 in Marsabit County, 15 in Garissa County, 13 in Wajir County, 7 in Tana river County and 164 in Mandera County. Three (3) deaths have been reported in the past one week in Mandera County. Current admissions are 39 in Garissa, Marsabit, Wajir and Mandera Counties
