control the activities of the organization and improve its
effectiveness.

An organization to succeed in its business
must define its goals, objectives and targets and
work out methodology to achieve these goals. They must also
communicate these goals and objectives to their own people and to
other stakeholders so that everyone can work together to achieve
these harmoniously.
Quality policyis the statement through which
an organization declares its goals, targets and
business orientation to its own people and others.In additionQuality policy also describes in broad terms, how
the company plans toachieve them.

1. The organization must define and document their quality policy.
2. They shall communicate and explain the policy to all their employees,
so that everyone understands the requirements.
3. The policy should be suitable to the organization’s needs.
4. The policy should include a statement confirming the company’s
commitment to satisfy the requirements of the quality management
system.
5. The quality policy shall be reviewed for continual improvement of its
effectiveness.
6. A framework (methodology) for implementing and reviewing quality
objectives must be included in the policy.
7. The policy shall be reviewed to ensure its continuing suitability.

established at all relevant functions and levels within
the organization
Quality objectives shall be measurable and relevant to
the quality policy.
Quality objectives shall be suitable to the organizational
and product needs.

Quality objectives are specific activities selected out of a work function for of improvement.
They are a mechanism for continual improvement.
Quality objectives should have measurable performance indicators, improvement targets and defined time spans within which the improvement
has to take place.
