Getting StartedThe Charles County Beautification Project (CCBP) was formed in response to citizen inquires on the status of the Waldorf Beatification Project (WB) and public comments during the first Commissioner Town Hall Meeting regarding litter. CCBP expands the scope of WBP by encompassing the entire county.

To beautify and create a sense of pride in Charles County by actively

encouraging a litter-free environment through education, community

improvements, enforcement, and support that empowers our community

to apply litter prevention practices throughout their lives.

Mission Statement

Create a countywide initiative to clean up and beautify Charles County through programs that are adaptive to the needs of the Community.

Charles County Government will lead this initiative by ensuring litter-free prevention practices are in place at all county facilities, from government buildings to VanGO stops.

Programs will place emphasis on education, enforcement, litter removal, community improvements, and the partnership development.

Support litter removal efforts through county-facilitated programs, along with civic and volunteer organizations.

Promote cleanup events and programs that encourage the removal of litter in our communities, public spaces, and waterways.
