Every New Year comes along with its own set of opportunities, and 2017 is not an exception. However, as you would agree, an opportunity or resolution in itself is nothing, it is what you do with it that makes the difference.

A common practice for most is to forget about their resolution after the first three (3) months of the New Year, and this is the biggest mistake you could ever make. Most resolutions are abandoned due to setting unrealistic goals or poor planning.

For 2017 KAW Management Services Ltd. wants to encourage you to make realistic resolutions that will not only be achievable but also reinforce your position for the New Year. KAW Management Service Limited’s plan for 2017 is to position ourselves and our clients in the Global Economic Market by utilizing technology and trends namely LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter etc. and ensuring clients receive the individual attention they deserve, which has always been the vision and daily mission of the Company.

Positioning yourself for the New Year, helps establish your identity within the eyes of your employers, consumers, and partners. A person’s positioning strategy is affected by a number of variables related to the finance, motivations and limitations, as well as, by their choices and actions. Before you position yourself for the New Year you should answer the following strategic questions about yourself;

What specific goal are you aiming to achieve? How can you achieve your goals in a reasonable time frame? How will accomplishing your goals change your life?

Once you've answered these strategic questions based on your answers, you can then begin to develop a positioning strategy for yourself. KAW Management Services Ltd. can be your main source of information on figuring out how to be better and greater for the New Year. Whether it be in your personal capacity or streamlining your business’ goals and strategies, KAW can assist. POSITIONING YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS

The New Year is a pivotal time for every person and company to make the necessary changes to get on top. Fixing processes, being innovative and ensuring that you implement strong techniques and processes are a must for the betterment of yourself or your company. Some find it extremely difficult to make the change, however, here are a few key and simple steps that can assist you in positioning yourself for 2017.

1. Set Your Resolutions in MotionNew Year’s resolutions are not all about losing weight or getting rich. A well laid out plan of your business in the coming twelve (12) months is very beneficial. However, be specific, so you can see whether you have accomplished them by year’s end.

2. Measure Progress “If you can measure it, you can change it” is a fundamental principal of psychology. These feedback loops will be a source of motivation as you reflect on where you started and where you are. They will also help you to know when you are hitting a plateau or slipping backward, so you can adjust your efforts.

3. Be PatientProgress is seldom linear. Some people will see rapid gains only to hit resistance later in their efforts. For others, initial progress may be painfully slow, but then they suddenly achieve rapid breakthroughs. Making lasting changes takes time.

4. Share your Goals with Friends and Family Social support is critical. Yes, it takes some personal courage and vulnerability to share something that you might actually fail at, but to dramatically increase your odds of success you will want support from those around you. One of the most effective things you can do is to get an “accountability partner”, someone who checks in with you daily or weekly. It’s easy to break a promise to yourself, but far harder to admit it to a friend

5. Avoid Repeating Past FailuresAnother strategy for keeping your New Year's Resolution is to not make the exact same resolution year after year. If you do choose to reach for the same goals as in the past, spend some time evaluating your previous results. Which strategies were the most effective? Which were the least effective? What has prevented you from keeping your resolution in past years? By changing your approach, you will be more likely to see real results this year.

6. Remember that Change is a ProcessThose unhealthy habits that you are trying to change probably took years to develop, so how can you expect to change them in just a matter of days, weeks, or months? It may take longer than you would like to achieve your goals, but remember that this is not a race to the finish. Once you have made the commitment to changing a behavior, it is something that you will continue to work on for the rest of your life.

7. Don't Let Small Stumbles Bring You DownEncountering a setback is one of the most common reasons why people give up on their New Year's Resolutions. If you suddenly fail on your resolution, don't view it as a failure. The path toward your goal is not a straight one and there are always going to be challenges. Instead, view it as learning opportunities. By understanding the challenges you face, you will be better prepared to deal with them in the future.

Depending on your needs, these simple techniques can be altered and structured to meet your goals. Always remember that if you need advice KAW Management Services Ltd. can provide you with the best industry specific options for you and your company.

Happy New Year! The holidays have come to an end and now is the time most of us turn our attention to our plans for the year. Have you already set your goals and direction for your business this year? Some business owners had them set months ago and some are still working out the details and direction while they recover from the year-end and holiday rush. Either way, here are three areas to work on if you want to position your business for success this year—and every year.

Position Your Business for Success by Building RelationshipsIn the 21st century, relationships are the key to lasting success in business. Instead of just selling this year, get to know your clients and prospects. Getting to know them and their business (and personal) needs and goals will help you build client loyalty as you get to know them and let them know how much you appreciate their business and your relationship. You will also better know what they need for success in business. And you’ll be able to tailor your services to match those needs. Not only will you have some great relationships, but you’ll also end up spending more time serving and less time having to sell.

Build alliances and partnerships with other businesses, with your suppliers and even with some of your clients. Use those partnerships for mutual growth and for sharing your expertise with your community. When we help others succeed, our success also increases. Give back to your community. Whether individually or as a company find local causes you can support, use local suppliers when you can and encourage new and existing businesses and professionals by participating in mentorship and internship programs. You don’t have to choose all of these—and certainly not at one time—but choosing to focus on any of these relationship builders will strengthen your business, strengthen your community and lead to success.

Position Your Business for Success by Supporting Your TeamUnless you’re a solo entrepreneur, your success isn’t yours alone. You have a team working with you, who should be as invested in your success as you are. And to keep them invested in that success, give them the support they need. Listen to your staff. Is there training or tools that would improve their jobs—and their lives? Investing in the success of your employees is investing in the success of your business. In addition to formal training, offer your team the opportunity to mentor and/or be mentored. Recognize and reward their efforts and successes, whether they are company successes or personal successes. Build better relationships with your team than you do with your customers. Include them in your business planning as well.

Position Your Business for Success by Reviewing and Updating Your Business PlanThe best way to get to your destination is to have a good map and directions for getting there. Your business plan should be that map. A business plan doesn’t have to be a fancy formal document. It just needs to be a guide for how you want to run and grow your business. Start by reviewing last year. How did you do? Did you meet your goals? What went right? What could have gone better? Are there any policies, products or services that weren’t profitable for you or didn’t align with your company’s values or goals? Look at what ended up being your strengths and weaknesses (don’t assume—sometimes your review can surprise you). Once you’ve reviewed last year, use what you’ve learned to create a plan for the coming year. Set realistic goals for growth—this would be goals that stretch you and are realistic. Be sure to include your staff in creating your growth goals. Get their feedback and ideas. Remember, they are the ones who interact with your customers, suppliers and the public every day, so they are very likely to have some great insights. In addition to setting goals for growth, this is a good time to review your expenses and income. An important part of successfully setting business goals is knowing you have the right tools in place to make them happen.
