Junior Excellence Tuition

at Scoresby

Junior Excellence Tuition at Scoresby (JETS) is an exciting initiative for grade 4 and 5 students, based on research into the relationship between student engagement and learning.

Students will undertake a program that is based on extension through problem solving. The task will require students to creatively apply their maths, science and technology skills to solve an authentic problem. At the end of the program, parents and representatives from their schools will be invited to an evening for student presentations and awarding of certificates.

JETS program will run for six weeks in Term 4 on Thursday after school, and is being offered to students in grade 4 and 5 from local primary schools. Places in the program will be limited; therefore it is important to complete and return the application form with required documentation by the closing date in September. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of September. There is a cost of $80, which covers tuition, materials and a certificate of completion.

If you have any queries or would like further information on our JETS program please contact the College on 9765 4100 or email [email protected]

Flyers and booking forms available from Karoo School Office.
