Karnatak Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology, Udyambag, Belgaum, (Affiliated to Visvesaraya Technological University, Belgaum) (APPROVED BY AICTE, NEW DELHI) Department of Civil Engineering ACTIVITIES 1. 8th Semester Students were taken for site visit to Paver Block manufacturing Industry in Belagavi, on 5th January, 2018. 2. 5 th Semester students were taken on one day study tour to Gokak water treatment plant and Sewage Treatment Plant on 10 th January 2018. 3. The Institution of Engineers (India) Student Chapter (Civil Engineering) organized INFRAZEST’ 18, civil Technical Fest on 23 rd and 24 th February 2018. 4. Students of 7 th & 6 th semester Namrata Karoshi and Veeresh Chandargi participated in Paper Presentation event and secured 1 st place in VTU Expressions 18 A national Level TECHNO- MANAGEMENT-CULTURAL Fest, Organised by VTU Centre for PG Studies, Belagavi held on 20 th March 2018. 5. Students of 7 th Semester Shivu Angadi, Akshay Achigavi and Yalagond C. G. secured 2 nd place in Bridge Battle and 1 st in Survey-Quest conducted as a part of Fusion 2k18- A National Level Technical Fest on 10 th and 11 th March 2018 organized by Gymkhana and Department of Civil Engineering at Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot. 6. Students of 7 th & 6 th semester Namrata Karoshi and Veeresh Chandargi participated in Paper Presentation event and secured 2 nd place in Two days National Level Techno –Cultural Fest INSIGNIA 18 held at SDMCET on 16 th and 17 th March, 2018. 7. Student of 7 th & 4 th Semester, Veeresh Chandargi and Anmol Barigidad presented paper on Intelligent Transportation Systems in Two Days National Level Conference on “Recent Advances in Civil Engineering” held at KLECET Chikodi during 9 th and 10 th March, 2018. 8. National level technical fest PARADOX-18 was organized by the Department on 16 & 17 of April 2018 9. Valedictory of CEA and Farewell was given for Final students on 25 th May 2018.
