Concern for Physically Challenged: With the mission of Rotary to eradicate Polio from the face of
the world, supporting services of Polio Survivors is an aspect
of service that the Rotaracts of Kathmandu Mid Town felt appropriate to address.
Rotaracts of Kathmandu Mid-Town, PP Rtn Dr Chandra Lekha Tuladhar & PDG Tanya
Wolff Canada, supported by Rotaracts & Rotarians of Kathmandu Mid- Town,
International Rotarian friends of Canada, the “BIG BROTHERS” of Canada, & well
wishers constructed a RAMP for the CBR Centre (Community Based Rehabilitation
Centre) at Godavari.
Chief Guest DG Basu Dev Golyan handed it over amidst a gathering of the community Rotarians &
Rotaracts (29th
August 2011)
This project has enabled members of the CBR & 35 physically challenged children, to wheel themselves to the first
floor and utilize the facilities available in that area.
Chief Guest :
Rtn Basu Dev Golyan
DG’s Expression
“I‟m very happy to be a part of „ramp hand over event‟ for CBR which was made with the help of Rotary and
Rotaract club of Kathmandu Mid-Town, District 7600 and other Canadian friends. To add on more, I‟m very
pleased with Rtn. Chandra Lekha Tuladhar and my Rotaract friends for successfully executing this noble cause.
Thank you!! Keep up the fine works.”
It was delightful to see the presentation of RAMP to
Rehabilitation Center. The ramp will, indeed, be of
great use to those using the wheel chairs. My happiness
knows no bounds!”-Rtn. Gen. P B Limbu (AG)
“The success of any formal functions, as today‟s was, is always a
function of the hard work which has been put in by everyone. The
Rotaractors, the Rotarians and the key driving force behind the entire
project, PP Rtn. Dr. Chandra Lekha Tuladhar. The cause is laudable,
the collective effort exemplary and the beneficiaries
extremely grateful, what more can you ask for!!”-
