GOAL
I believe architecture is a medium to improve social living standard. My career goal is to contribute my knowledge back to Hong Kong society to improve its social image through architecture. In my mind, social image improvement is not simply building eye-catching architecture. The most important issue is how to balance and maintain the cultural and natural environment. Archi-tecture is not an art work or shelter. Local context is extremely important. I choose your company to practice my architectural goal because I share same vision with the company.
I believe architecture opens up a city through new creation path. Innovative architecture establishes unique expression to a specific place. I like to travel for feeling living attitude of local people, their daily activity and how they in-teract with the environment harmoniously. It can explore my mind and widen my horizon in order to emerge creation. It is my faith that creative mind is developed by direct participating experiences like looking, touching, smelling and trying.
I dream to make a step forward as graduating from bachelor was only the start of my architectural design process. In order to develop my mind, I pre-fer to work in a real architectural firm for seeking more practices. I believe learning from professionals, discussing with like-mined colleagues and shar-ing ideas with different parties are the best ways to establish my profes-sion.

The Conan Doyle Mystery Theatre
The theatre is dedicated to the staging of murder mystery plays. It con-sists of a 500-seat proscenium theatre, a 250-seat blackbox theatre and a 250-seat cinema.
The idea is to create a gathering space for the community instead of only servicing audiences who buy tickets for enjoying a formal show, this theatre is designed to meet the need of the public.

EX STCarvingis my main direction for the design of theatre. It can create voids and circulation space in between. It becomes the circulation route and the connection within the whole building.

The change of depth and degree of carving ex-presses the transition of spaces.
There is deep carve in main entrance and public spac-es. The degree of carving gradually reduces when comes closer to theatre areas.
Visitors can experience the changing of different functional spaces through carving.

SITE ANALYSIS DIAGRAM
Gateway 10
The main focuses of our Gateway were connection between architecture and nature, ar-chitecture as a perception of human experience and individual participation experience.
People travelling in and out are just like air breath-ing in and out. The Gateway develops a new dis-course in architecture of the Wyndham City.

The site is divided into 3 parts. The Princes freeway was acted as the main circulation for entering the Wyedham City. The highways are met to create an intermediate space for ‘breathe in and breathe out’.

ConceptWe are interested in the principles of mus-cle for carrying out the contraction and re-laxation as the control factor of breathing.
The wave of contraction and relaxation are studied. The exploration of breathing was shifted from human to city.

Physical model was essential to testify reliability and practicality of the de-sign. Throughout the process of transforming the digital model to the physi-cal model, we faced challenges and gained experience in different stages.
We solved the connection problem by planning the ground touching points and extended the bases of our strips. In addition, voids were created to re-serve space for holding the strips.

Residential Project
The project located at the old district of Hong Kong as to replace tenements. The building is designed for middle-class family with multi-functional club house, car park & shopping arcade.
The concept of TERRACE is from idea of ‘retaining’ . Not limited to physical retaining feature, My design look deeply into spiritual ideology about the balcony expo-sure feature of Tong Lau.

Office 18ConceptThe idea of Cross comes from different directions of pedestrian flow. The cutting edge of commercial plan is a continuous linkage with surrounding shopping arcades. The shape of office floors is to build up a sense of accumulation of office workers from other office towers MTR station.
Use ceramic tubes to act as energy efficient sunshine panel to provide an aesthetic bonus. The pattern of ceramic tubes pre-sents the idea of combining office & commercial activities.
