I would like to open with how proud I am to hold the position of Head Boy at Coppice. During my time, I want to implement many changes across the school, to ensure student experience at Coppice is the best possible. Already we have established a Student Leadership Team and developed a group of people who are prefect to lead each individual branch. This will allow swift transitions every September for the next group of student leaders, a transition that I will be a part of ensuring we have the correct appointment to carry forward the vision we have for the school. Furthermore, encouragement to students is a main priority. Extra-curricular activities are already prevalent across school and I am keen to ensure this remains. I want all students to recognise that as Student Leaders, they can come to us with any issues, no matter how big or small and we will work to resolve them. Communication is key to this legacy. I am going to close with my promise. I will ensure that come June when I leave Coppice, the Student Leadership Team will be left in such a positive state, ensuring the roles of Head Boy and Head Girl will be left in capable hands.

HEAD GIRL

Head Girl is a position of responsibility, respect, and leadership; I am excited to be offering my skills to this position.

I have been active within the school community for many years in roles such as an English Ambassador and as a member of the School Council. I have also witnessed the success that Performing Arts holds at Coppice; having performed several times in the school musicals and plays and my involvement in internal groups, such as peripatetic lessons for the clarinet and piano, the school choir and orchestra.

Coppice has provided me with opportunities to support other students; I have assisted in Key Stage 4 History lessons and ran a few Year 11 GCSE Music revision sessions. I want to continue this mentality during my premiership by making the Student Leadership Team a group that assists students through academic and personal struggles.

Currently, I study A Level History, A Level Music and A Level English Literature and Language; I am hoping to pursue a university degree in History.

Through the role of Head Girl, I want to continue my commitment to the school to provide more students with the opportunities Coppice gave to me.

I am incredibly grateful and humbled to be given the role of Deputy Head Boy. I accepted this role to create a voice for unheard students and to ensure their ideas are heard. I am very proud of my school as it has given me so many opportunities and experiences. Coppice is where I found who I was, and it has helped build my confidence and in my role of Deputy Head Boy I want to help other students in the same way, my confidence has made me who I am today.

I have been an active member in the Performing Arts Department all the way back to Year 7, performing in the school musicals, choir and National Theatre Connections. I have built and strengthen so many skills due to performing arts and I will use this in order to help Coppice grow and leave a legacy behind.

My current studies at Coppice are A-Level English, A-Level Biology, A-Level Dance and BTEC Performing Arts. At this moment, I am unsure of what career I want to follow but I want students to know that it is okay, not to know. My aim is to have students realise and explore alternatives to universities and further education so they can find who they want to be, and I believe Coppice is the perfect platform for this.

DEPUTY HEAD BOY

Nicholas Myatt

DEPUTY HEAD GIRLFrom the beginning of my journey at Coppice I have been offered so many amazing opportunities that not only amplified my voice in regards to positively impacting the school I owe such gratitude towards, but these opportunities have also changed me on a personal level and continue to do so till this day. Now as part of the Student Leadership team I hope to do the same for our students and make their time at Coppice as prosperous and enjoyable as possible.

Fortunately, I have held a student leadership position throughout my life at Coppice, whether this was acting as a House Leader or holding a seat on the School Council. Due to this, I have developed a great determination to improve the school for future students whilst also making positive changes for our students and staff currently at Coppice.

Therefore, as Deputy Head Girl I hope to make Coppice the best it can be by helping students believe that they can achieve anything they dream and put their minds to, which will forever motivate them in their successful futures as it has motivated me for the past 5 years.
