Olive Clique Restaurant
As part of a project for an Intermediate Print course, students were required to re-brand or create our own restaurant logo and menu. I decided to create my own restaurant called Olive Clique. I wanted it to be a restaurant lounge that specialized in signature martinis. I wanted my restaurant to play off of an art deco scheme so I chose gold to be my signature color with subtle hints of olive green. Being that my restaurant specializes in martinis I wanted to incorporate martini glass designs into my logo and design boarder. I felt a brown leather menu suited the type of restaurant I envisioned. The logo that is on the front cover was created by gold vinyl, which I felt gave a nice touch.
Gensler Brochure
As part of a brochure project, students were required to pick a company and create a corporate brochure and billboard. I chose Gensler Architectural firm. I wanted the layout to flow with the design of their website so each spread I incorporated a block of transparent red. All photos are from Gensler’s Website.

Let Girls Learn Campaign
As part of an advertisement project in a Print Production course students were required to choose a campaign and create a full page, half page and quarter page ad. I chose Michelle Obama and the Peace Corps organization "Let Girls Learn." Being that Let girls learn is solely a social media driven campaign I didn't have actual advertisements to go off of. From what they did have everything contained a black and white image of a little girl and black was the background color.
I wanted to change that up a bit but still stay true to the organization. Being that Purple is their signature color I decided to make that the primary color of the ads and use a purple and black tint to the photos to change the dynamic up some. All photos are free stock images.
Feeding our Neighbors Website
As part of a project for a Screen Coding II course, students were required to create a responsive website for ourself or a mock company. I chose to create a mock food organization website called “Feeding Our Neighbors.” I wanted to keep the website black and white with subtle hints of color to convey the seriousness of the topic of hunger. All photos are free stock images.
Jazz Album Cover
As part of a project for a print production course
students were required to create an album cover
and backing for a musical genre and artist that we
were not familiar with. I chose jazz as my genre and
drummer, pianist and composer Jack DeJohnette
as my artist. From doing some research I noticed
majority of jazz albums are illustrated and abstract
so that is the route I took to stay true to the jazz feel.
Garamond Poster
As part of a project for a Typography course
students were assigned a font to create a poster
of. Students needed to include the name of the
font, the date it was created in, the alphabet
and a brief description about the font.
GARAMOND
The type style Garamond is named after French punch-cutter Claude Garamont also known as Claude Garamond. Garamond’s letterforms are known for their fluidity and consistency. Garamond is considered to be one of the most legible and readable serif typefaces for use in print. When Garamond died in November 1541, his wife was forced to sell his punches. This caused the typefaces of Garamond to disappear for nearly two centries. In Europe, it became the standard to use Garamond Roman typefaces at the end of the sixteenth century and carried on its usage 200 years.

Andy’s Ice Cream Truck
As part of a project for a print production course, students were required to create a food truck wrap. I chose to design a ice cream truck. When I think of ice cream I invision a man in the traditional white hat serving people. I wanted to to go for a more classic look.
Wayne Miniefield Construction
I was asked to create a logo design for a freelance contractor located in Middletown, CT. As part of a project for sophomore portfolio I created business cards and a truck wrap
This poster is my first illustration I ever made. I tried to embody certain features of myself to personalize the girl more. I felt the word “overrated” fitt this poster because of the facial expression I gave the girl.
Overrated Poster Mirrior Editorial
As part of a project for senior portI folio, students were required to create a magazine layout for an article of our choosing. I chose an article called “Mirrors Don’t Lie. Mislead? Oh Yeah.” Written by Natilie Angier. I wanted to keeps everything black and white with hints of tan. I wanted the images to have a mirrored effect to tie into the article. I felt the diamonds gave a professional and eye pleasing look to the article.
Impressions Restaurant
JWU culinary department asked a group of design students to design a logo, menu and stickers for a pop up restaurant culinary students are required to make. Myself and two other design students were assigned to work with four culinary students. The culinary team shared with us that one day they were walking and saw a maple leaf impression on a piece of wood and felt it would be fitting for a restaurant logo. Since they’re menu content played off of the 4 seasons the culinary team wanted to stick with a natural earth theme so my team and I felt a wood menu was suitable for they’re restaurant.

RISD Kiosk
As a project for a Intermediate Print course, students were required to make a kiosk for a museum, amusement park or building. Being that RISD Art Museum has so many pieces of artwork you can get a bit overwhelmed so I felt a kiosk for them would be perfect. I wanted to create a interactive kiosk that provided visitors with background information and fun facts about the artwork that isn't displayed in the descriptions next to them. For each exhibit I wanted the interactive screen to match the theme so for The M.Ripley "Rip" Hudner Buddha Gallery I focused on the golden brown color tone and for the Grand Gallery i focused on the midnight blue color tone. Each screen shows you a virtual tour of the exhibit for those who want to see it but want to actually walk to it. For exhibits that only have portraits like the Grand Gallery there are interactive screens that have a collection of all the portraits and you can click on one and it will expand so you can really see the details in it. The next screen will be a picture of the artist and a brief background description If you click on a piece of art a fact box will pop up and you can zoom in and out. On the back of the kiosks there is a poster of the most recent exhibit which is currently Martin Boyce: When Now is night. The poster provides a description of the exhibit and where it is located. I wanted to make the design of the poster the same as the exhibit so visitors could get a feel of what to expect.

Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society
As part of a project for a sophomore portfolio course, students were required to rebrand a existing organization. I chose “Best Friends Animal Society.” I created a logo, truck wrap, billboard and 5x5 calendar cards. All photos were personally taken.
The Wild Kingdom
In a intermediate print course students were assigned the task of creating and branding pet packaging. Instead of going with the traditional household pet food I wanted to stand out and challenge myself. I decided to do a animal food line that targets wild animals in zoo and rescue reserves called “The Wild Kingdom.” I wanted to create packaging for nutritional bites that go in the actual food you feed the animals. I felt personalizing each feed for animals gave me more creative control so I made three lines of nutritional food, one for lions, wolves and tigers. If I were to expand on this project I would include more animals. I felt the vibrant colors gave a pleasant pop to the overall theme and went well with the illustrations. I went with illustrations verses an actual picture of the animals because you do not see that very often in pet foods. I also created a flea treatment spray packaging and bottle. I wanted to still tie into the brand by incorporating a illustration of one of the animals on the front. I also included a brand standard book for the wild kingdom that includes the logo system, iconography, typography, illustration use and mission statement and a static website.
Gazelle Wine
As part of a project for an intermediate pint course, students were required to create and brand a beverage of our choice. I chose to focus on wine. I created a wine brand called Gazelle Wine. I wanted the personality of my brand of wine to be modern and sleek so I felt the detail in the horns of the gazelle head was fitting and a sans serif font complimented my logo. I’m a personal fan of bottle decal so I wanted to incorporate the design of the horns on the bottle as well to draw consumer’s eyes straight to my product.
