JUSTIN BIEBER ROCKED #BIEBERISLAND UNIVERSAL AND KIIS PRESENTS

IHEARTRADIO AUSTRALIA LIVE POWERED BY OPTUS

Global superstar Justin Bieber rocked Sydney Harbour’s #BIEBERISLAND thrilling over 1,600 fans with a stellar performance at the special concert event - KIIS presents iHeartRadio LIVE powered by Optus. Justin kicked off his incredible live show with crowd favourite and new single ‘What Do You Mean?’ The audience sang along, word-perfect, as Justin showed off his signature smooth dance moves, even leaving the stage to get up close to excited fans, as he performed hits ‘Where are you now?’ and ‘Boyfriend’. KIIS 1065’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show was broadcasting live from the island, as was television partner Channel 7’s Sunrise. Justin kept fans entertained as he moved effortlessly between his energetic performances and live interviews with Sunrise’s David Koch and Sam Armytage before sitting down to chat live on air with KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O. Later, Justin performed a special acoustic set featuring ‘As Long As You Love Me’, ‘Home to Mama’, ‘Be Alright’, ‘That Should Be Me’ and ‘Baby’. This special set will be available exclusively on www.iheartradio.com.au. #BIEBERISLAND was the only place to catch Justin performing in Sydney, and fans went to great lengths to catch a glimpse with many private boats circling the island all morning and some super-fans even kayaking to the island for their chance to see the superstar in person.

Among the VIP guests on #BIEBERISLAND were many on-air personalities across Channel 7 and KIIS FM, plus Channel V presenter Carissa Walford, travel and media personality Laura Csortan, actor Tessa James and her husband NRL player Nate Myles.

iHeartRadio Australia partnered with Optus and Universal Music to create this unrivalled live music event, all part of its commitment to give Aussie fans extraordinary live music experiences, by bringing them closer to the music and artists they love.

The only way to see today’s performance was to win your way in and the KIIS FM competition line almost went into meltdown with a total of 1.7 million calls made to the station and tens of thousands online entries, since the competition launched on

September 7.

Before the day of the event had even arrived, #BIEBERISLAND was mentioned more than 6 million times on Twitter. Across the three hour event this morning, almost 100,000 Tweets had Justin’s performances trending and over 4,000 Instagram #BIEBERISLAND posts were shared. But those not lucky enough to make it to this special show haven’t been forgotten and fans can relive the magic. Five videos of Bieber’s performances are soon to be released on the newly updated iHeartRadio Australia app and online at iheart.com
