What do we want?
Andalucía Team, through the Pa o 2.12 project, acts as an ambassador for the values that Solar Decathlon aims to transmit about: innova on, sustainability and energe c effi ciency. The main goals are: to improve the sustainability and the new use of renewable energies related to the design and use of housing, as well as promote a responsible use of energy to achieve a higher energe c effi ciency.

The diff erent ac vi es that will be developed depending on the age range are explained in the following paragraphs:
Preschool (age 3 to 5 years old). We have created the story book “Looking for the house”, to serve as an educa onal help for parents and teachers when explaining environmental educa on to children.
Primary School (age 6 to 10 years old). For them we have created the drawing compe on Arkids 2.12 ‘thinking mediterraneo’ based on the one designed by TEN ACT10N: ‘Draw the suns energy’. Every par cipa ng child will draw the use of solar energy; they will use colored pencils, markers, watercolors or crayons.
Secondary School (age 11 to 15 years old). A tutored workshop will be carried out with the Plas c Arts and Technology teachers, where the children will reproduce the house Pa o 2.12 at a diff erent scale in order to be shown in the 10th Science Fair that will be carried out during 10th, 11st and 12nd May 2012 in the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in Seville FIBES.
