Choosing Your Courses

• Step 1 – Review the state requirements for graduation

• Step 2 – Review the courses you have already taken and make a list of all the courses you still need and/or want to take. (A credit check sheet will make this much easier)

• Step 3 – Complete the enrollment form

• Step 4 – Turn it in to your English teacher

Testing Requirements

In order to meet graduation requirements every student must pass 4 of 7 EOI Tests.

All students Must Pass:English 2 and Algebra 1

Plus any 2 of the following:Biology, Geometry, US History, English 3, Algebra 2

Attendance on Test Days is Very Important!

NCAA ClearinghouseAny student that is going to participate in a college athletic program under the guidance of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is responsible to register with NCAA (www.ncaa.org) and complete all high school coursework needed to satisfy the NCAA’s requirements.

All questions should be directed to the head coach of the related sport and/or the site athletic director.

• Select Electives – List electives in order of importance.

• Be sure to provide a good list so that counselors have enough to choose from in case classes are full

• If you have submitted an application to Career Tech, go ahead and select your electives as if you will be attending a full day here at the high school.

Schedule Changes in the Fall of 2015

Per MHS handbook schedule change requests made in the first 5 days of the semester shall be limited to:• Student schedule is incomplete• Duplicate course• Student has not fulfilled prerequisite for course• Schedule requires altering due to students acceptance into a special program.-

Attached documentation is to be attached• Course is scheduled with a teacher with whom the student has previously failed• Student elects to take a more challenging academic/core course- No reversal at

a later date.
