The director should be familiar with many of the adults in the church in order to make wise decisions in job placements. • Determine the format and schedule. • Recruit and train workers. • Oversee daily VBS activities. • Keep up with budget and spending. • Oversee set-up and clean-up. • Purchase curriculum and other needed materials. • Organize the schedule. Skits (Faye Evangelista and the Jr. High Group) • Kamryn Cortez, Avie Pinuela, Lindsey Lacanilao, Noah Pandino, Zyle Abendano Nursery Worker (contact: Michelle Millan) Take care of children of volunteers/visitors who are not old enough to attend VBS Crafts and games will be held in classroom Bible Teacher/Assistant (contact: Michelle Millan) Bible Teachers are individuals who can explain the Bible lesson in a way that is entertaining and understandable for young children. The gospel should be taught every day of VBS so that every child will hear it. Even if the lesson is not specifically about salvation, find a way to tie it in. At least one of you must be present by the opening assembly. • Teach the Bible lesson and share the gospel each night. • Guide students in completing the student activity pages. • Decorate the classroom. (Jr. High & up – optional) • Encourage children to come back and to invite their friends. • Attend to discipline, to health and to safety issues with children in the group (with director’s help, if needed). • Accompany students to crafts, music, games, and snacks, and help as needed. • You must still be attentive to your kids even when other instructors are present! • Attendance sheets will be left on the door so that the classes won’t be interrupted. Assistant teachers are asked to record short clips of students in different settings each day and send to Katrina.

Decorating Director (contact: Karissa Peña) • Work with the VBS director to determine which areas of the church will be decorated and how they will be decorated. • Secure the materials for decorating or provide the VBS director with a list of needed materials. • Ensure that all areas are decorated prior to VBS. • Draft help in decorating as needed. Music Leader (Jireh Cruz, Danielle Oñate) The music leader should be someone with musical ability who can choose songs appropriate for various ages of children to learn. • Lead music for each group during its music time. • Lead music during the opening assembly. • Choose songs for each group to sing during the closing program, and lead the children in singing the songs. Work Days Sponsor/Donor (contact: Jireh Cruz) Rehearsals/work days can run for long and can therefore be exhausting. We are looking for sponsors who are willing to provide food for our volunteers. We will also be hosting fundraisers to help with other expenses, and we will need assistance! Welcome Team (contact: Katrina Aldana) • check-in/registration via Google sheets (including adults!) • invite parents/new young adults to our church (CICC bookmarks) • shirt sales • bring late students to their classrooms • Must be able to share about our church to visitors. • Must arrive at 5pm!
