Flying into Juneau
Flying allows for the quickest and easiest access into Juneau. Juneau International Airport is the closest airport to fly into. It is serviced by many airlines and is only approximately 15 minutes from the ship. The Goldbelt Hotel provides a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Please call the hotel at (907) 586-6900 upon landing. Taxi service is also available.
Please Note: It is recommended that you arrive to Juneau the night before your cruise in order to participate in the Mendenhall Glacier and Juneau City Tour. he tour meets at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. departure from the lobby of the Goldbelt Hotel.

Boarding Time
Please plan to arrive at the ship between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You may not be able to access your stateroom until about 11:30 a.m. he ship will leave at 1:30 p.m. or earlier if all guests have arrived.
On the morning of your cruise, American Cruise Lines will bring your luggage from the Goldbelt Hotel to your stateroom aboard the American Spirit.
he tour of Mendenhall Glacier and the city of Juneau will meet in the lobby of the Goldbelt Hotel at 8:30 a.m. and departs at 9:00 a.m. Following the tour, you will be brought to the American Spirit.
In either case, the Cruise Director will be awaiting your arrival at the gangway of the ship. Please present your boarding passes and photo ID at this time.
Luggage and Luggage Tags
American Cruise Lines places no restrictions on luggage. However, it is recommended that you bring as few bags as necessary. Suitcases less than 10 inches high may be stowed under your bed. You will be receiving luggage tags with your boarding pass before your cruise. If you would like additional tags, your cruise specialist will be happy to send you more. If you have cruised with us before, please remove your old luggage tags.

Casual resort attire is recommended both on the ship and ashore. For dinner, women’s attire may consist of a sweater and slacks or a dress. Men’s clothing might include a button-down shirt and slacks, with sport coat or sweater.
American Cruise Lines also recommends that you bring the following:

American Cruise Lines ofers open seating at every meal in the Dining Salon on the Main Deck. Dress is resort attire. At dinner, men often wear a sport coat and women often wear a dress.
Breakfast is prepared to order at your leisure between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m.
Dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m., and you are welcome to join us at any time before 7:30 p.m.
American Cruise Lines provides complimentary wine and beer during lunch and dinner service. A complimentary cocktail hour with full bar is hosted each evening at 5:30 p.m. before dinner.
Glasses, ice, mixers, and soft drinks are available at all times. For other liquor requests, your Hotel Manager will assist you.
Special Diets and Medicines
American Cruise Lines will work to meet any dietary needs. Please tell your cruise specialist approximately two weeks prior to your cruise so that we may plan accordingly.
Refrigeration is available to store insulin or other medications requiring protection.

Emergency Messages
Emergency messages can be directed to the main oice in Connecticut at (800) 894-8570. hey will be relayed to the ship at the irst opportunity. You are urged to provide American Cruise Lines with email addresses and cellular phone numbers, as well as an emergency contact prior to your departure date. Cell phones are generally available onboard the ship for emergency purposes.
Tipping
Tipping is entirely at your personal discretion. Tips are generally given to the Hotel Manager near the end of the cruise. hey are then divided equally among the stewards and deckhands. Tips generally average about $190 per person on an 11-night cruise. Stewards and deckhands do not expect and cannot accept tips directly. Credit cards, personal or travelers checks, and cash are accepted. If you choose to pay by credit card, please contact the Hotel Manager at least one day before the end of your cruise.

Concluding Your CruiseOn most cruises, the ship will arrive in Seattle the evening prior to the inal day of the cruise. he ship docks at Shilshole Bay Marina, located at 6701 Seaview Ave. N.W., Dock A, Seattle, WA 98117. On the last day of your cruise, breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and passengers may disembark until 8:30 a.m.

On this guided tour through the city of Juneau, your guide will share the colorful history of Juneau’s gold rush era, then take you to experience the wonders of nature with breathtaking views of Mendenhall Glacier. At its widest point, this glacier is an impressive half a mile wide, with ice about 1,000 feet deep. his tour will stop at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor’s Center where you can discover the mystery

Petersburg is a thriving ishing community with a strong Norwegian heritage. You will be able to discover the rich heritage of this small, ishing town during a
walking tour of Petersburg. While roaming the streets of Petersburg, you’ll ind artistic designs stamped into the concrete sidewalks, and Rosemaling (Norwegian folk-painting) on the fronts of retail stores and residential buildings. During this walking tour, you will stop at Clausen Museum. he museum’s collections of artifacts, photographs and archives span the history and pre-history of Petersburg and the surrounding area. With over 5,000 artifacts and 45,000 photographs, this museum has become a focal point for the preservation of the unique history of this area.

You will get a true feel for the islands of the beautiful Paciic Northwest when you join a local guide for a walking tour through Anacortes. Admire the extensive, colorful murals depicting the history of the city. his tour will also take you through the town’s historic center and past the W.T. Preston stern wheeler.
LA CONNER, WA AND SEABEAR SALMON TASTING TOUR
While in La Conner, you’ll have time to explore downtown, shop, or visit the local museum. Upon your return to Anacortes, a stop will be made at SeaBear for an exclusive tasting and tour. Since its founding in 1957, SeaBear has been smoking salmon in the centuries-old traditions of the Paciic Northwest.
