A.R.T. Creations with Anna
Due to its popularity, we are increasing
Anna's Watermark University class A.R.T. from 12 participants
to 15 during the summer months. Remember, this class is a
crowd favorite and fills up quickly so remember to sign up at
the front desk to reserve your spot.
* There is usually a waiting list so please don't be late..
On Friday, June the 7th, we will be introducing a new Watermark
University Program, "The Amazing World of Art" with Elaine L.
Elaine is one of our residents at the Town Center who enjoys
painting and other crafts. Above is Elaine showing one of her
favorite paintings entitled:"The Fisherman".
Elaine's class will offer various options and levels of art such
as painting on canvas, drawing on sketch pads or even something as
simple as adult coloring. So come on out and find your inner artist .
Elaine's art will also be on display at our Expressions Art Show.

June 2019
Town Center
Another fun filled afternoon
was had at our 2nd annual
casino day. Sarah from Senior
Helpers came to help out and
brought some delicious
shrimp cocktail for the event.
The Community Life team
dressed up in their show girl
attire to add to the
atmosphere. Joe Catando played the perfect gambling mix of music
which added to the wonderful energy in the room making this
another successful event.
Speaking of events, we have a wonderful art show planned this
month featuring our very own residents. On June 19th. we will have
an amazing art show display from both the Town Center and Inn &
Gardens. Anyone can bring their creative pieces to the show and it
doesn't have to be sketches or paintings. Needle point, wood
carving, photography etc. are all forms of art. Participants will have
a chance to have their piece in our Expressions 2020 calendar.
Casino DayEvent 4 Summer Health Tips
1. Stay hydrated: Heat can be very
dangerous. Staying well hydrated helps
to reduce heat illness and it is also very
important to acclimate to hot
environments
2. Don't forget your sunscreen: Lather
on broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen,
daily, liberally, and don't forget to re-
apply.
3. Don’t skip your exercise routine, just
because it is sultry out: You may need to
change where you exercise and avoid the
peak heat and humidity, but don’t get
lazy.
4. Watch for mosquitoes - especially at
dusk and dawn: Be sure to clear out
standing water, use insect repellent, fix
broken screens, use EPA-registered insect
repellents and spray your clothes (NOT
skin) with permethrin
Path to Well-Being
At Watermark Woodbury Mews, it is not only the residents who thrive by
joining in activities, programs, volunteering or just getting out and about,
the staff thrive as well. It's great when everyone can have fun and enjoy
creating and implementing the many events that we do. The Community
Life team did a top notch job setting the stage for the casino event this
year. Our residents are like our family too and it gives them great pride and
satisfaction when we see them enjoying and having a good time during the
events, programs and outings.
Last year, Brandy from environmental services volunteered to be our Black
Jack dealer and was looking forward to doing it again but unfortunately was
unable to this year. It's team work like that which keeps us thriving
and makes it all worth while..
