Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today, Passion (Palm) Sunday, marks Our Lord’s entrance in Jerusalem and launches us into Holy Week. The opening prayer from the Roman Missal today summarizes today within the context of our final days of Lent: “Dear brothers and sisters, since the beginning of Lent until now we have prepared our hearts by penance and charitable works. Today we gather together to herald with the whole Church the beginning of the celebration of our Lord’s Paschal Mystery, that is to say, of his Passion and Resurrection. For it was to accomplish this mystery that he entered his own city of Jerusalem. Therefore, with all faith and devotion, let us commemorate the Lord’s entry into the city of our salvation, following in his footsteps, so that, begin made by his grace partakers of the Cross, we may have a share also in his Resurrection and in his life.” Please join us this Holy Week for the liturgies which reveal the heart and center of the mysteries of our salvation. May God pour out His abundant blessings upon you during these holiest of days.

Hoy, Domingo de la Pasión (Palma), marca la entrada de Nuestro Señor en Jerusalén y nos lanza a la Semana Santa. La oración de apertura del Misal Romano hoy se resume hoy en el contexto de nuestros últimos días de Cuaresma: "Queridos hermanos y hermanas, desde el comienzo de la Cuaresma hasta ahora, hemos preparado nuestros corazones con penitencia y obras de caridad. Hoy nos reunimos para anunciar con toda la Iglesia el comienzo de la celebración del Misterio Pascual de nuestro Señor, es decir, de su Pasión y Resurrección. Porque fue para cumplir este misterio que entró en su propia ciudad de Jerusalén. Por lo tanto, con toda fe y devoción, conmemoremos la entrada del Señor en la ciudad de nuestra salvación, siguiendo sus pasos, para que, comenzados por su gracia participes de la Cruz, podamos tener una participación también en su Resurrección y en su vida."
