June 2020 Newsletter Thank you for being Broadway Bound!

We want to thank everyone for an amazing first week back. Everyone cooperated with the new guidelines and the kids were so happy to be back at the studio. Smiles were abundant. The giggles were so cute! And the joy expressed in their eyes made our love for what we do burst from within. This was truly the week that made a career!

And by the way…we want to assure you; the cleaning procedures, masks, and social distancing will continue

until the guidelines and restrictions are lifted by the Governor. We will also continue Zoom classes for a while. Finally, we ask everyone to be sure to practice social distancing and wear your masks when you are

outside the studio.

Every year our Kidz program brings entertainment and a wonderful break from the boredom that comes with Summer. This year the program will be overwhelmingly welcomed by our small army of munchkins after months of confinement and pent-up energy. The Workshop is scheduled from August 3rd through the 7th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Tuition is $275.00 for the entire week.

This program is designed for students aged 4-11 years old and will study jazz, ballet, lyrical, musical theatre, hip hop, singing

and acting. They will play theatre games and create some fun crafts. Children will be broken up into different age groups. At

the end of the workshop, the children will perform in a showcase at the studio which will be recorded for everyone to enjoy.

AND: For all of you working folks, we will provide early drop-off from 7:00am to 9:00am ($40.00) and late pickup from 3:00pm until 6:00pm ($50.00).

Throughout the years, many parents and kids have asked us to add a summer dance class for our little dancers aged 3-6. So, once again...Piccola's Teddy Bear Dance Class will be held at Broadway Bound. These classes are

designed for our tiny dancers. Children ages 3 – 6 will enjoy dancing and playing games. Piccola can’t wait to meet you. She says a Teddy Bear Picnic is a must.

You can enroll in either the Tuesday 4:00pm - 4:45pm class or on Thursday from 6:15pm - 7:00pm. Tuition for Piccola’s Teddy Bear Dance Class is only $30.00.

Shoe and apparel order - Many people grew out of their shoes during the Covid-19

quarantine. We will be placing an order on June 15th. Please place your order at the outside desk or call us at 429-8844. We will be placing only one more order before the Dance Celebration.

Sign up for Summer Classes – NOW!!! The Summer Schedule is available. Pay particular attention to the early drop-off and late pickup that is available. We will have weekly classes and class bundles as well. There are guest instructors, intensive workouts, a recorded showcase, crafts and games and many new opportunities for students of all ages and ability levels. Please read the schedule carefully and enroll before classes are full. This has been an unusual year and kids are anxious to participate in organized activities outside the home. We are confident classes will fill up quickly. Last year everyone had a terrific time! Don’t miss out!

If you have any questions as to what classes you should take, please feel free to ask. Remember that each student generally moves up a level. For example, if a child is in Jazz I this year you should register for Jazz II in the fall. Please register early to guarantee enrollment in the class you want. There are many exciting changes taking place so do not delay. Once again, no registration fee will be charged to any student who registers before June 26th. If you have friends, neighbors or relatives that may be interested in the performing arts have them sign up with you and receive special rewards. The studio continues to grow, and our reputation attracts the interest of many in the community.

Do not delay! We are trying to give every opportunity to our current students however, class size is limited.

The Fall Schedule is here!

Introducing a new concept in Recitals! As we previously announced, we will not be able have our traditional recital this year, however we are making

plans for a one-day 20th Anniversary “Celebration of Dance” on July 11th at the Amato Center in

Milford, if permitted by the State. We hope to have our students perform on-stage, in costume, with a live

audience of family and friends. Each class will have a scheduled performance time and small groups will enter

the theatre to cheer them on. They will exit the building and another group will enter. This event will be live

streamed, and each dance will be professionally recorded. A DVD will be produced and available for purchase.

We are still working on the details and waiting for the Governor’s Guidelines for Performing Arts

Picture Day will be terrific!!!

We want to apologize for the disappointment everyone endured when we had to change our picture day plans

due to the pandemic. But we will recover. Picture Days previously scheduled for June 6th and 7th are cancelled. A

professional photographer will be available for individual portraits at the “Celebration of Dance” on July 11th or at

the studio if the celebration is cancelled. Unfortunately, we will not be able to take group pictures this year.

Pictures Sales day will be July 18th from 11 - 3 at Broadway Bound. More details to follow.

Classes returning to the studio - We are looking to resume most classes at

the studio starting June 15th. Details will be released shortly.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

Recital T-shirts - The final order for recital t-shirts will be placed on June 19th , if the minimum order quantity is met. Please pick up previously ordered shirts at the desk.

Costumes - We are still missing some costumes. Due to the pandemic the companies were forced

to close. We are working with them to be sure all costumes will be here in time for the celebration.

Save Some Money! – Enroll in Fall Classes by June 26th and you will save the Registration Fee.

We hope to have 500 new “Likes” by Fall.
