DEPLOYMENT
Reintegration; 1300-1400; Tuesdays & Thursdays @ A&FRC: Required briefing for those returning from deployments.
Covers how to manage stress, dealing with change, communication skills, parenting and adjustment strategies. EMPLOYMENT
Resume Readiness; 1400-1600 @ A&FRC: Provides the information and tools to create an effective resume that will
open the door to your next career opportunity.
Federal Employment Workshop; 0900-1100 @ A&FRC: Learn all the ins and outs of applying for a Federal position.
LinkedIn; 0900-1100 @ A&FRC: Learn the tricks of building and maintaining a professional networking account. FAMILY & CHILDREN
Give Parents a Break; 0900-1500 @ CDC West & Youth Center: An Air Force Aid Society sponsored program that pro-
vides childcare for spouses of deployed members, single AD parents, or families under stress (must meet with a con-
sultant for referral). Requires a referral by a First Sergeant, Chaplain, or the A&FRC.
Moms, Pops & Tots (0-2); 1000-1100 @ A&FRC: Informal setting for parents to meet and share information and chil-
dren to socialize with other children.
Moms, Pops & Tots (2-4); 1000-1100 @ TBD (Locations vary & are posted on FB page): Meets at different locations,
but primarily at the Youth Center. Informal setting for parents to meet and share information and children to socialize
with other children.
Single Parent Support Group; 1130-1230 @ A&FRC: An informal lunchtime meeting to share with others the joys and
challenges of being a single AD parent. Lunch is provided. Must call for reservations the Friday before.
Okaloosa Mentor Program Volunteer Training; 1300-1400 @A&FRC: This 45 min briefing provides training on how
to become a mentor in the Okaloosa Mentorship Program. Volunteers need to attend this training to become a men-
tor; volunteer will receive guidelines and tips on mentoring. Instructor Lin Mack is available to answer questions. RELOCATION
Newcomer's Orientation; 0730-1200 @ King Auditorium: Mandatory briefing for all new personnel assigned to Hurl-
burt Field. A day long workshop introducing arriving personnel and their family members to the key personnel and
services located on the base.
Smooth Move; 1300-1430 @ A&FRC: Tips and tools for families and Airmen PCS'ing CONUS or OCONUS. TRANSITION PROGRAMS & CLASSES
Pre-Separation Briefing; 0800-1100 @ A&FRC: Congressionally mandated briefing for transitioning members. Retir-
ees may attend 2 years prior to separation and those separating may attend 1 year from separation (must complete
NLT 90 days from separation date - no orders needed)
Transition GPS Workshop (5 Day TAP); 0800-1700 @ A&FRC: A&FRC and Department of Labor (DOL) Workshop
(5 days), held twice a month at the A&FRC.
VA Benefits Brief; 0800-1500 @ A&FRC: The Veteran' Briefing is an integral facet of the Transition GPS Workshop;
mandatory attendance for all transitioning military members.
Peer to Peer Caregiver Forum; 0900-1100 @ A&FRC: Wounded Warrior Caregiver support group hosted by MFLC. MILITARY SPOUSE CLASSES
Spouse Employment Ready Workshop; 1300-1500 @ A&FRC: An employment workshop conducted by A&FRC and
Employ Florida.
Welcome Spouse; 0845-1500 @ A&FRC: A seminar designed to welcome and provide spouses with information on
base programs and services. Lunch and Base Tour included!
