Flaming June! Now that would be nice, no flaming chance that’s what I reckon, if we get a few nice days, we will be told that it was hotter here than in Barbados or Spain, what are they thinking of that because of a measly bit of good weather we get, we would rather be here than Barbados or alike, and a more depressing thought in 3 weeks time the nights start drawing in!! The Sun Lemsford Village

The Sun Inn at Lemsford was bursting at the seams with folks who turned out to see 2Tone doing their thing. The mix of ages was amazing and made for a very exciting night; party goers included couples who had 2Tone entertain at their weddings and or birthday bashes. The anticipation was growing as the crowded pub were waiting for 2Tone to begin, and start they did with

revellers joining in with the singing and the dancing. Everyone was working to the max including the much needed air conditioning at The Sun with the night in full swing, and people dancing outside as well as in it was a fantastic night and were

all looking forward to the next one there! “Great job boys”

Phil, Jill & Lee

Well like we always say, if your going to throw a party make it a good one. Held at the Old Hunters Lodge, Whipsnade Mr Phil Goodson, his lovely wife Jill and Daughter Lee did just that, with the bar raised to the max their guests turned up to great food, a complimentary bar and entertainment by 2Tone. The music started along with the dancing, more drink, more dancing, more drink, more dancing you’ve got the idea. What a stonking good night ending with the birds singing their dawn chorus. I was trying to think of any negatives and there was only one ‘my bloody head’ I really can’t remember it being that bad ever before, mind you better than the ry guys back after sleeping in his car. Ha Ha

The lads were having a fine time at Mr Steve Harris’s ladies festival another fine Masonic evening. Having done a large number of Masonic nights the boys were all to familiar with

the proceedings. The guests arrived in their stunning outfits, and began with pre-dinner drinks before sitting for dinner. The party was held at The Chiltern Hotel where the tables were dressed ready for the evening to commence, Dressed in their suits and bow ties the

lads, do what comes naturally to them creating the perfect entertainment for any occasion, and this was know exception. They started in a Vegas type way with all the songs from the swing era to a very appreciative audience who immediately took to the dance floor, with

gowns flowing to the sounds around and revellers making all kinds of shapes, taking a well earned break allowed the the time needed to catch ones breath but also time for the raffle. Returning to the stage the boys changed the genre’ of music churning out hits from the 50s

through to the 80s the dancefloor remained full all night. A truly fabulous event and simply the best time was had by all. “Simply a joy great job lads”

NICOLA AND RICKY’S WEDDING DAY

Beautiful, stylish, elegant yes I’m talking all about the bride ’Nicola’

I was fortunate enough to get a couple of pictures of Nicola as she glided up the magnificent staircase in Luton Hoo and a close up of her in the Faberge suit later, I couldn't think of a better venue than Luton Hoo or a finer man to marry than

Ricky they all complimented each other perfectly. Ratpack was the

order of the day for the lads much to the delight of the guests.Doing what they do so well, bringing life

and atmosphere to the party. The smooth sounds from the swing

era. Sinatra, Deano, Sammy, resonating around the room was just a perfect start to the evening.

With a first dance of

‘Fly me to the Moon’

it all seemed just magical

“Quite simply perfect”

The Swan

The Swan at Iver has always been a well attended venue when 2Tone have performed there, and this one was as well. They waste no time in getting involved dancing almost from the off which has become quite synonymous with 2Tone’s party nights. The Swan to it’s credit pulls out the stops moving tables and chairs out to create more space for revellers to dance, this coupled with the great food is always a recipe for having fun.

Look out for the next one!

Sue’s Party Bash At Moor Park e4 Newsletter Page 12

The stylish elegance of Moor Park Country Club just oozes class and elegance from every crevice of it's historical being. With it's beautiful hand painted walls and ceilings, one stands and admires it's greatness. Performing at Moor Park has become second nature for ‘2Tone’ this time it was for Sue Mansfield’s party

who kindly wrote to us after the event, ‘It was truly the ‘party of a life time 'for which I wanted lots of dancing and you provided it. Thank you all so much, your choice of music and singing was superb, you set the mood of the evening just right. People danced who hadn't danced for years, many of the guests commented on the quality of your voices and your willingness to join in and encourage us. And it was

so generous not even to have taken a break in order to keep the party going. Thank you again for making the evening so marvellous With all best wishes Sue.

"Another great performance guys - well done!"

Sopwell House Ben’s Butterfly Ball

What an event ’Bens Butterfly Charity Ball’, Ben was unfortunately taken away from his parents Maria & Owen after a huge uphill struggle with Alper’s Syndrome he left them just 3 day’s before his first birthday! They decided the least they could do was give back to Keech cottage who supported them so fantastically in what was the most devastating time in their lives, hence the ball. We were privileged to be a part of this memorable occasion which raised a very significant amount. Standing in front of the party people stood Maria & Owen who graciously thanked everyone for attending, a short video was played and everything came into perspective ’there but the grace of god go us’ they were very brave speaking out in front of all. With the dinner over, monies raised it was time for the lads 2Tone to do their thing that they do so well, and this was no exception, hitting the floor running they immediately got people onto the dance floor, some making shapes they had never made before? And we had never seen. Revellers jumped up onto the stage to assist the lads with their dance routines some wearing funny hats acquired from the photo booth, what a hoot we look forward to being a part of this fabulous event next year.

LEE AND JEMMA’S WEDDING DAY

Lee and Jemma’s wedding day was on probably the best day for good weather this year, with bright sunshine an extremely well attended affair, where everyone was treated to the best in hospitality. The venue in Ealing was laid out to the max ready for the guests, with as much food and drink you could ever want. ABA boxer Lee put on his best performance yet, along with his beautiful bride Jemma, and mum Debbie they made this a part of parties. The lads D.J Birdy ‘John’ kicked off the evenings entertainment and being a top club DJ didn't disappoint, mixing in tune after tune to everyone's delight, 2Tone followed to the eagerly awaiting crowd who hit the dance floor in a frenzy, and didn't stop dancing throughout the whole night. DJ Birdy pulled out all the stops with his own classic style. Great team work fab night.

DUNFEST

Gracing the Dunfest stage on Saturday afternoon 2Tone did what they do best “entertain”. The afternoon kicked off with 2Tone, and from the moment they started you knew why you were at the Dunfest music festival to “Party” the boys were on fire, cranking out the hits one after another, Bob Marley through to the O’jays. The atmosphere was electric and the party people were ready for what ever the boys threw at them, and of course they delivered in abundance, oozing with quality. The amazing Duo packed a wallop, dancing between the onlookers, stage manager Duncan McLaughlin and MC Bruce Sherring Lucas can be seen staring out from the stage wondering what the boys are going to do next? They didn't have to wait long, Ryan had spotted a picnic blanket with what can only be described as a veritable feast, he was in helping himself to goodness no’s what. So fuel in the tank 2Tone were off again round the Dunfest field singing and dancing just having fun. The music continued after 2Tone left , with performances from Two Way Traffic, Becky CJ, Springhill Jax, HHS Funk Band, Rouge, The Attention Seekers and The Zipheads.
