While postural problems and associated injury mechanisms are fairly complex, the designsolutions are relatively simple to implement. Workers should have control over theirenvironments, including theirhandandwristposition, monitorposition, and individual lightlevel. Selecting a chair that is easy to adjust and that provides support and movement isfundamentallyimportantforcreatinganergonomicworkenvironment.Becauseourpostureis very often dictated by what we are looking at and what we are doing with our hands, positioning the keyboard, mouse, and monitor at the appropriate heights, distances, andanglesisofparamountimportanceinachievingneutralsittingandworkingpostures.Inordertoensurethatworkersgetthevalueofergonomicworktoolsandsetup,educationonkeyergonomicconceptsisparamount.Heighteningtheawarenessofergonomicsacrossalllevelsofanofficeiskeyforinstitutingasuccessfulergonomicsprogram.
