Reflection of the Gospel:

In this one verse from today’s gospel we

see the interplay of the three persons of the

Trinity. The Son has received everything

from the Father, and the Spirit communi-

cates the fullness of Father and son. Within

God there is a relationship among Father,

Son, and Holy Spirit that can be seen as a

complete out outpouring from one to the

other. We, who have been created in the im-

age and likeness of God, are invited into

this community of complete gift of self. In

emptying ourselves, we are filled with the

love of father, Son and Holy Spirit.

" May the Lord Jesus put his hands on our eyes also, for then we too shall

begin to look not at what is seen but at what is not seen. May he open the

eyes that are concerned not with the present but with what is yet to come,

may he unseal the heart's vision, that we may gaze on God in the Spirit,

through the same Lord, Jesus Christ, whose glory and power will endure

throughout the unending succession of ages.""

Reflexión del Evangelio:

En este versículo del evangelio de hoy

vemos la interacción de las tres personas de

la Trinidad. El Hijo ha recibido todo del

Padre y el Espíritu comunica la plenitud del

Padre y del hijo. Dentro de Dios hay una re-

lación entre el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu

Santo que se puede ver como un completo

derramamiento de uno a otro. Nosotros, que

hemos sido creados a imagen y semejanza

de Dios, somos invitados a esta comunidad

de don completo de nosotros mismos. Al va-

ciarnos a nosotros mismos, estamos llenos

del amor de padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo.

“Que el Señor Jesús ponga sus manos en nuestros ojos también, porque entonces

nosotros también comenzaremos a mirar no lo que se ve, sino lo que no se ve. Que

él abra los ojos que no están preocupados por el presente sino por lo que aún está

MINISTRY ASSIGNMENT

Every time we make the sign of the cross, aside

from being reminded of the sacrifice of the

Lord, we are also making an act of profession

in our belief in the Holy Trinity. It reminds us

of our belief in One God in Three Persons. We

celebrate today the Solemnity of the Most Holy

Trinity. During the mass we make our

profession of the creed that we believe in one

God, the Father Almighty, in Jesus Christ his only begotten Son

and in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life. We believe in

one God, a Trinity of Persons, working in perfect unison that

offers us a way home.

We can find our path toward our eternal home if we live the

mystery of the Trinity, i.e., living in unity, harmony, peace and

love. Pope Francis in one of his messages says that the path of

Christian life is essentially Trinitarian, in that the Holy Spirit

guides us to full knowledge of the teachings of Christ. Christian

life revolves around the Holy Trinity. He says further that this

mystery reminds us that we are called to live not without each

other, over or against the other, but with one another, and in

one another. It is living in unity in love, drawing inspiration

from the Trinity.

Let us continue to take part in the building up our Christian

community here at Queen of Angels. It is our calling by virtue

of baptism to build the Body of Christ, the Church. In whatever

ministry we may involve ourselves in. Or in any manner that

shows our willingness to be part of our parish community, as

we share our time, talents and treasure. May these be

manifestations of our desire to live the mystery of the Holy

Trinity.

In the summer, children may be spending more time talking to

friends online and sharing status updates on social media, playing

games, and more. The internet is a great way to keep in touch with

classmates while school is out, but it’s also a place where cruel and

bullying behavior can be rampant. Talk to your children about

internet safety, and be vigilant about who they communicate with

and how they are acting. If your child seems sad or depressed, it

could be a sign that bullying is going on. Unlike in school, you can’t

walk away from cyberbullying, and harmful messages can be spread

quickly. As parents, stay up to date on what sites your children are

using, and openly monitor conversations and messages if needed.

Cada vez que hacemos la señal de la cruz,

además de que se nos recuerda el sacrificio del

Señor, también estamos haciendo un acto de

profesión en nuestra creencia en la Santísima

Trinidad. Nos recuerda nuestra creencia en Un

Dios en tres personas. Celebramos hoy la

solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad. Durante

la misa hacemos nuestra profesión del credo de

que creemos en un solo Dios, el Padre Todopoderoso, en

Jesucristo su Hijo unigénito y en el Espíritu Santo, el Señor y

Dador de la vida. Creemos en un Dios, una Trinidad de

Personas, trabajando en perfecta armonía que nos ofrece un

camino a casa.

Podemos encontrar nuestro camino hacia nuestro hogar eterno

si vivimos el misterio de la Trinidad, es decir, viviendo en

unidad, armonía, paz y amor. El Papa Francisco en uno de sus

mensajes dice que el camino de la vida cristiana es

esencialmente trinitario, en el sentido de que el Espíritu Santo

nos guía hacia el pleno conocimiento de las enseñanzas de

Cristo. La vida cristiana gira en torno a la Santísima Trinidad.

Él dice además que este misterio nos recuerda que estamos

llamados a vivir no uno sin el otro, por encima o en contra del

otro, sino el uno con el otro, y uno con el otro. Es vivir en

unidad en el amor, inspirándose en la Trinidad.

Continuemos participando en la construcción de nuestra

comunidad cristiana aquí en Queen of Angels. Es nuestro

llamado en virtud del bautismo para construir el Cuerpo de

Cristo, la Iglesia. En cualquier ministerio en que podamos

involucrarnos. O de cualquier manera que muestre nuestra

voluntad de ser parte de nuestra comunidad parroquial,

mientras compartimos nuestro tiempo, talentos y tesoros. Que

estas sean manifestaciones de nuestro deseo de vivir el misterio

de la Santísima Trinidad.

¿SABÍA USTED? El ciberacoso podría estar afectando a su hijo/a

En el verano, es posible que los niños pasen más tiempo hablando

en línea con amigos y compartiendo actualizaciones en las redes

sociales, jugando y más. El Internet es una excelente manera de

mantenerse en contacto con los compañeros de clase mientras están

de vacaciones, pero también es un espacio donde el comportamiento

cruel y de acoso, o “bullying”, puede ser desenfrenado. Hable con

sus hijos sobre la seguridad en Internet, y esté atento/a para saber

con quién se comunican y cómo están actuando. Si su hijo se ve

triste o deprimido, podría ser una señal de que está siendo víctima

de acoso. A diferencia de cuando sus hijos están en la escuela, ellos

no pueden alejarse del acoso cibernético y los mensajes dañinos

pueden propagarse rápidamente. Como padres de familia,

manténganse al tanto de los sitios que usan sus hijos y si es

necesario, monitoree abiertamente las conversaciones y los
