1. What makes a person authentic?(describe a person that is authentic)
2. How do you know a person is authentic?
What really matters is what other people believe and perceive what you can do for them.

Build Brand Value in Three Areas:
A. Focus on your strengths
B. Enhance your visibility and exposure
C. Become an expert in your field
A. Focus on your strengths1. Look at your personal assets beyond your credentials:
Knowledge, personality traits, interests, enthusiasm, etc.
2. Write down 3 core strengths: Describe a situation when you exhibited the strength & create a story
3. Take a personal assessment to learn more about yourself (e.g. DISC, MBTI, Hogan)
4. Get feedback: ask 10 people “what strengths do you see in me?”
5. Teach others what you are good at
B. Enhance your visibility and exposure
6. Network, network, network (become interested in others)
7. Join professional associations (CFA, Alumni) and get actively involved
8. Volunteer for organizations to demonstrate your strengths and expertise
9. Write a powerful 1-page bio, describing your accomplishments
10. Use Social Media tools to stay connected (LinkedIN)
Networking is a process of with others to exchange Information, Advice and Contacts.
