blackaby was right!
Henry Blackaby, in his book
Experiencing God, hit the
nail on the head. Living the
Christian life with purpose
and joy is about finding out
what God is up to and getting
in on it.
Recently, Bill Fay reminded us of this very thing in his Share
Jesus Without Fear Seminar. In his approach, he taught us
probing questions that help us to determine where God is
at work in people’s lives. Then, as we open the Scriptures
with them, we can see how God completes His good work of
saving persons who are lost.
Many of us committed ourselves to learn how and then share
our faith during this seminar. If you did so, and if you have
had a chance to share with someone already, I am asking
you to share your experience with me.
I am so grateful that the Lord has given me several wonderful
opportunities to share the Gospel one-on-one in recent days.
And I am further grateful that several of these have prayed
to receive Christ.
Will you let me know about your witness experiences? You
can email me at: [email protected].

refreshing hope.
Last night (May 3) I had the opportunity to speak with
those involved in Celebrate Recovery. They are a remark-
able group of people. The ministry has grown from a
handful, fifteen months ago, to over 125 today. Many have
found Christ and are on the road to a new life.
The qualities you readily witness when you attend are
refreshing to say the least. You will discover transparency,
honesty, accountability, encouragement, a sense of true
purpose and a strong belief that Christ can make a differ-
ence in people’s lives. In Romans 1:16 Paul writes, “I am
not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God for
the salvation of everyone who believes…” Those who are a
part of CR believe that with all their hearts. That is why they
come, week after week after week. They have seen it make
a difference in their lives. That is why they invite all their
friends and family members to come as well. They have a
sense of hope for those who are lost.
I don’t mean to be offensive, but “do you?” I am confident
you did at one time, but do you now? If you do, would
you, too, invite someone to come to worship with you this
Sunday? I’ll look forward to seeing you and your friend.

A NOTE FROM RALPH

the chinese, curling, and my vacationing choir
I woke up this morning with a dream of a new Olympic Game on my mind....“Curling People”.
A team of small people slide down the lane of ice trying to stop on a number. The team gets up to run a 5K then back to sliding
down the ice. In my dream the Chinese were in the lead. We have dreams during the day too. These daytime dreams are some-
times called visions. Some of you have a vision for your retirement, what college is going be like, or how this summer will be the
one of a lifetime!
My vision for this summer is to have 60 in choir! That might seem lame to those who are planning to cruise to Club Med, stay a
month at the lake or go to the mountains or beach. But to someone like me the summer is an anxious three months. Because, my
choir members, starting on Memorial Day, are starting these needed vacations.
This means they aren’t coming back for choir until the vacation is over!
Would you like to help me with my dream, or vision, by joining the summer
choir, or do I need to call in the Chinese?
thank you
I want to thank all of you who have prayed for me and my family during the passing of my mother. It means so much to be
surrounded with friends here at BCBC who really love us. Although this time in my life is difficult, God has been so real and close
to me. Thanks for every phone call, card, word of encouragement, and most importantly your prayers.

summer is approaching fast!
So much going on and only one month to do it all in. I first want
to say CONGRATULATIONS to all those who will be graduating on
June 3. Needless to say, you have put in a lot of hard work to get
to this point and you deserve all the recognition and praise you
get. I would like to remind you that you did not get to this day
alone. There are countless people along the way who have helped
you reach this goal (your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles,
teachers, etc.). I would encourage you to take the time over the
next few weeks to tell them thank you for the part they played in
helping you achieve this goal. Then once you are finished, you
need to pack because we are heading to Serbia to share the
gospel! Remember, we will be leaving on Saturday, June 5. We
will meet at the church at 11:00am and say our good-byes from
there. We will return on Sunday June 13. Parents, you are more
than welcome to meet us at the airport, even though we will be
providing transportation back to the church.
Finally, the week we (well, at least me anyway) have been waiting
on since last year will be upon us. That’s right, Student Life camp
at Orange Beach will finish off a great month. We will be leaving
at 4:30am on Monday, June 28. So be at the church no later
than 4:15am so that you don’t miss out.

Seesalt and Missions (SAM for short) combines the same
great Seesalt program with a varietiy of mission opportuni-
ties in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area. Our group will be
assigned a special missions project that we will work on
throughout the week. This year’s middle school summer
camp is going to be more than just fun…it is going to
stretch and challenge all students and leaders who go!
I am excited for BCBC to be a part of SeeSalt and Missions!
This already life-changing camp is being taken to a whole
new level this year, so you do not want your middle
schooler (6th through 8th grades completed) to miss out!
Registration is already open, so go to www.brushycreek.org
and register today!
