The town of Castle Rock is working with Meadow View to keep parents informed in regards to the impact street construction

Please take a moment to view the maps and familiarize yourself with street closures. The East end of Butterfield, from

Rosecrown to N. Meadows still need to be done. These streets are expected to be done by the second week of August. On

Meet and Greet and School Supply Drop Off

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 7. Please join us the day before school starts on August 6 any time between 1

p.m. and 3 p.m. for our Meet and Greet and School Supply Drop Off. This is an optional event to see the classroom, meet

the teacher and drop off school supplies. To view the school supply lists, please go to www.MDVE.org.

If you ordered a school supply kit before the deadline, your student’s supplies will be waiting for him/her in the classroom.

Express Check In

Please check in your student through Express Check In. This is required for all new and returning students. Please

complete Express Check In for each of your students and pay your School Fee through www.MySchoolBucks.com before

your student’s first day of school.

Above is the link to access the EngagED Parent Portal. Parents log into the EngagED Parent Portal in order to access our

Express Check-in.

Parent Portal Account

Don’t remember your parent portal login and password? Click here for password reset instructions. Are you a new parent to

the district? Check your email for a Douglas County School District communication with parent portal set up instructions. If

you didn’t receive the email, you may contact Meadow View Registrar, [email protected] for assistance.

Please also see the FAQs for Parent Accounts and the Parent Portal Handout, click HERE.

Bus Transportation - Zpass Cards

If you live within our attendance zone and more than 1 mile from the school, your student may be eligible to ride the school

bus with a Zpass. The Zpass application can be found via the express check-in page on Engaged Parent Portal

(https://engaged.dcsdk12.org). If your student already has a Zpass but needs a replacement card, there is a small fee to

replace it. Transportation provides two purchase options for bus ride fees, either a one time flat annual fee or a per-ride fee,

billed quarterly.

Does your student need medication at school?

Please click here to print the Medication Authorization Release Form.

The form must be completed each new school year by your student’s physician. Parent and

School Nurse Signatures required. All prescribed and over the counter medication must be accompanied by this form. The

district does not provide any medication such Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc.

With the completed form, provide your student’s medication with its current and original pharmacy label. A great time to drop

this off is at our Meet & Greet and School Supply Drop Off day August 6 from 1-3 p.m.; or you may bring it on the First Day

of School, August 7.

Please note: Elementary age students are not allowed to carry prescription or over the counter medications at any time in

the school building. Parents, please arrange to bring your student’s medication and medical authorization form to the front

office/health office. Thank you!

Teacher Assignments Available on Parent Portal

Meadow View is an Artful Learning School. Artful Learning is a school improvement model

that stimulates and deepens academic learning through the Arts. The four main quadrants of

the Artful Learning model (EXPERIENCE, INQUIRE, CREATE and REFLECT) encourage and

support best teaching practices while improving the manner in which both students and

teachers learn. Classrooms systematically employ the four quadrants to strengthen

understanding, retention and application. Be sure to check out our Artful Learning web page

to learn more how the arts are uniquely integrated into our curriculum.
