A Message From Our Administrator’s Desk

Dearly Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Since arriving here 3 weeks ago I have had the opportunity to learn about our beautiful parish and to meet all of you. Little by little I hope to know all of you by name. This may take some time so I thank you in advance for your patience with me. I am grateful to God for giving me the privilege of serving this amazing parish. I am also grateful to all of you for the warm welcome you gave me when I first arrived. Every day I pray for all of you and your intentions, I beg of you, please pray for me, as I said to all of you my first weekend here your prayers give my priesthood life. I would like to thank Fr. Cruz, Fr. James, and Fr. Amable for their friendship and assistance, they have been a tremendous help to me in getting to know the parish. We are certainly grateful for their great work in the past few years, they did a tremendous job and we will continue the good work that they have begun. Fr. Cruz, and Fr. James will always have a home here at St. John’s, in fact, I told them to keep their keys so they can feel free to come and go as they please. This is their home and they are very good friends of mine so we hope to see them here frequently. This parish has been blessed with many holy priests, Msgr. William Smith, Fr. O’Meara, Fr. Carlos Rodriguez, Fr. Jose Rivas, Fr. Osiris Salcedo and recently with Fr. Cruz, Fr. James, and Fr. Amable. I would also like to thank Sr. Mary Elizabeth and the school staff for their warm welcome and for their tremendous work in our “Parish based school.” We have tremendous staff and we are certainly very proud of our school. I also want to thank the office staff especially Elizabeth Reyes our secretary, Oscar Cruz our director of Religious Education, Leoncio Hernandez our director of maintenance, and all the staff for their kindness. Again we have an amazing team here at St. John’s and it is something to be proud of.

We give thanks to God for His goodness to this parish and we give thanks to Him in granting us the opportunity to grow in holiness and wisdom within these walls helping us to know Him more day by day in the sacramental life of this parish. Jesus is with us, guiding us, protecting us, and giving us the strength that is necessary to serve him and others with our entire being. Together we Will work hand in hand to build the kingdom of God in the world. May God bless you always!

Queridos hermanos en Cristo, Desde llegar aquí hace 3 semanas tenia la oportunidad de aprender acerca de nuestra parroquia y conocerlos. Poco a poco espero conocerlos por nombre. Para mí, es muy importante conocer a los que voy a servir, así que gracias de antemano por su paciencia conmigo Estoy agradecido a Dios por darme el privilegio de servir esta hermosa parroquia. También, estoy agradecido a ustedes por la bienvenida que me han dado con mucho cariño. Todos los días oro por ustedes y sus intenciones, también les pido que por favor oren por mí. Como les dije mi primer fin de semana aquí que sus oraciones me das vida a mi sacerdocio. Por favor, oren por sus sacerdotes. Yo quiero agradecer a El Padre Cruz, El Padre James y El Padre Amable por su amistad y ayuda. Ellos me han ayudado mucho para orientarme en la parroquia. Estamos agradecidos a ellos por su trabajo en estos últimos años. Ellos hicieron un tremendo trabajo y junto vamos a continuar el trabajo comenzado por ellos. Siempre, El Padre Cruz y El Padre James están bienvenidos aquí, de hecho, van a guardar sus llaves permitiéndolos venir a su hogar cuando quieran. La Iglesia San Juan Crisóstomo es su hogar. Esta parroquia ha sido bendecida con mucho santo sacerdotes, El Padre William Smith, El Padre O’Meara, El Padre Carlos Rodríguez, El Padre José Rivas, El Padre Osiris Salcedo, y últimamente El Padre Cruz, El Padre James y El Padre Amable. Debemos estar orgullosos de nuestra parroquia. ¡Dios nos ha bendecido!

Damos gracias a Dios por su bondad en esta parroquia y damos gracias a Dios por concedernos la oportunidad crecer en santidad y sabiduría ayudándonos conocerlo más cada día atreves de la vida sacramental en esta parroquia. Jesús está aquí guiándonos, protegiéndonos, y dándonos la fuerza necesaria para servirle a Él y a los demás con todo nuestro ser.
