PROJECT SEVEN WONDERS : Year 8 Project Overview.
This third programme of activities will also focus on weaving the following
cross curricular and integral skills in a meaningful and relevant way:
Literacy; Numeracy and Digital Competence/ICT;
Creativity and Innovation; critical thinking and problem solving
to deepen learning; and planning and organising.
We have built this project around three core purposes of the New
Curriculum for Wales:
ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives;
enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work;
ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world.
Outline of PROJECT SEVEN WONDERS OF THE U.K. :
You will be studying the U.K., both the natural and human. This project will
last for two weeks , and for each week there are four tasks to complete.
Tasks vary from, research, model building, book reading, cartography,
music, etc... But the focus is based upon moral principles and the positive
or negative impacts that these Wonders have had on the people of the
United Kingdom. Pupils can choose what order they wish to complete each
task in, the wonder list is only there to guide them.

PROJECT SEVEN WONDERS: TWO WEEK FROM Monday 6th July to Friday 17th July.
Pupils have 8 tasks in total over the final two week period of term. They may choose what order
they wish to complete each task in, the wonder list is only there to guide them. Task 8—
cartography forms a natural conclusion so should be attempted towards the end, however, as
each wonder is completed it may be added to the map.
