and Development of Diagnostics for the Early Detection of Cancer in Portland, Oregon, July 14-17, 2020.

ACED Summer School unites researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from across the world in a first-of-its-kind event in the United

States. Delegates learn from early detection researchers, entrepreneurs, clinicians and regulatory experts on what it takes to develop and

commercialize novel technologies and interventions for the early detection of cancer.

Over this four day event, delegates also participate in a program developed by Dr. Carl Yamashiro of the International School of Biomedical

Diagnostics at Arizona State University called “Envisioning New Diagnostics”. In this program, small, multi-disciplinary teams will develop and

present a business plan for a technology in early cancer detection, after having learned about key areas including market need, competitive

intelligence, regulatory pathways and clinical trial design.

International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED)ACED is an innovative research collaborative between the Knight Cancer

Institute at OHSU, Canary Center at Stanford University, Cancer Research

UK, the University of Cambridge, University College London and the

University of Manchester. Together, ACED is uniting world leading

researchers to tackle the biggest challenges in early cancer detection.
