BIG SISTERS
Contact: Amanda Fosberg
We offer a "Big Sister" to paid MMM members that are pregnant and/
or are new moms of multiples during the first 3 months after giving
birth. We pair you up with a member that has multiples like you have
(or will have). The idea is for the big sister to check in with her little
sister often— to offer support, advice, help, etc. as needed. Then she
reports to the group at each meeting on how her "little sister" is doing.
The little sister can also contact her big sister as needed. Please
contact Amanda to get hooked up with a "big sister" today! If your
multiples are over a year old and are interested in becoming a “big
sister” contact Amanda today.

What’s Happening on Facebook??
Facebook is a great place to start a conversation and get
some good information.
Recently a conversation was started regarding Walt Disney
World. One of our members asked for suggestions about
where to go for the best character dining experience and
good places to purchase tickets.
Chef Mickey’s character dining experience in the
Contemporary Resort in Magic Kingdom was a very popular
response. The Tusker House character breakfast in Animal
Kingdom was also recommended, as was The Crystal Palace
in Magic Kingdom. Though not a character meal location,
the Sci-Fi Dine in Theatre was suggested just as a fun place
to go. It is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Also it
was pointed out that although not always the most popular
of the parks for people with small children, EPCOT is really a
great park to see some of Disney’s favorite characters and
there are a lot of great dining options there as well.
AAA was suggested as a good place to get Disney tickets.
The website www.mousesavers.com was also highly
recommended.
Have a question? Need some information? Want to sell
something or looking for something specific??? Just post
whatever you are looking for on our Facebook page. You are
bound to get the answer you are looking for. And maybe
some you aren’t!! But, its definitely a great place to start a
conversation.
Make sure you check it out!!

Are you going to go back to work now???
I get asked this question a lot and looking at this picture it is hard to believe that it was taken
almost a year ago and that school will be starting again in the not so distant future. As many
of you know, I have been counting the days since school ended in June!!!! My kids are a high
maintenance bunch and honestly summer is not one of my favorite times of the year. Sorry, I
know some people get annoyed to hear that , but come and spend a week, or even just a day
with my 4….well…you will get it!!! This is however, most definitely a bittersweet entry into
the school year. Despite my ongoing countdown since June 23rd, I can’t believe its really
happening. I have been a stay at home mom for nearly 11 years having left my place of
employment after my son was born in July 2001. I had no idea that I would not be “employed” for this long. I figured
that I would return when my son entered Kindergarten. But then in July 2005…..surprise!!! Then SURPRISE again two
months later….we are not expecting just baby #3, but baby #4 as well!!!! Still not quite ever getting over the shock of
that revelation, fast forward 6 years…...the day I have been waiting for…the day that all of my kids are in school full
time. You know….the day that I am going to begin my country club life, sitting around eating bon bons, playing golf
and hanging at the spa…yeah….if only!!! Now don’t get me wrong, I know that I am fortunate to have had the choice to
stay home with my kids, but it is somewhat annoying when people ask me if I am going to go back to work. When
people ask me this I often think to myself…...when did I ever stop “working”??? I may have stopped being employed,
getting vacation time, paid holidays and earning a pay check …but working???? Someone forgot to tell me that part. I
often tell people that this is my sabbatical year. The year that I will finally get my life organized, maybe finish
unpacking from our move three years ago, organize all of my pictures, actually have my entire house clean all on the
same day, have one day when all of the laundry is completely done, (exciting stuff eh??) this is the vision I have in my

Multitudes, Multiple Moms Mingle newsletter, happily accepts suggestions, tips, articles and information for publication from members... although we do hold editorial rights. ;) We did our best to get all of the information correct and up-to-date. If you
notice something that is incorrect or was left out, please let us know.

head. Then reality sets in and I remember that I have 4 children in
three different schools that all leave for school and get home from
school at three different times. I am sure my typical day will go like
this: Fight with the biggest one to get up and out the door at 6:30,
fight with the middle one to get ready for school and eat a breakfast
that consists of more than “uncooked toast” as he likes to call it and
get him out the door by 7:20 and with a little luck get a pot of coffee
brewing before the girls are up demanding the first of their typical 4
course breakfast and before the two little boys that come to our
house to catch the bus at 8:24 show up. Inevitably at 8:25 my phone
will ring with a number popping up from West Genesee High School
or Middle School with someone on the end of the line telling me they
need a book, or an instrument or a lunch or they’re sick, so ...those
country club days that I fantasize about may happen once … maybe
twice, but (I don’t golf) don’t bet on it!!! But just maybe there will be
a day here and there that I can actually sit down, have a complete
thought and actually figure out what I am going to do next before the
first of the three busses arrives back home and we are rushing off to
dance, or band or soccer or...
