CULTURAL CENTERTHE DESIGN CLASS HAD TO CREATE A CULTUR-AL CENTER FOR A SMALL TOWN CALLED POUG-KEEPSIE. THE SITE WAS CLOSE TO A SMALL RIVER; THEREFORE, MY DESIGN EXPRESSES A STRONG RELATION WITH THE SITE USING THE SHAPE OF A FISH AS MY MAIN CONCEPT. THIS FINAL APPROACH IS REPRESENTING NATURE IN A MODERN AND ELEGANT STYLE.

CHINATOWN GATE

Chinatown has become just a market-place where people come to try to find merchandise for affordable prices. It has become a crowded place with a lot of traffic and less space for pedestri-ans to walk. Therefore, the goal of my de-sign is to create a gate with a sculpture that the Chinese community feels identify, and attracts tourist not just for com-mercial propose but to also get a little knowledge about this great community.

city tech dormsNew York City College of Technology has been growing fast for the past few years. Due to the high demands of students, the college has decided to build up dormitories for students that have a long commute. The idea of a dorm for students is to create a place where they can concentrate more about college and also have a social life within people of the same field of study. This design offers a variety of spaces where students can either study or entertain.
