solidParticles are arranged in neat, tight, regular pattern with almost no space between them. Particles vibrate back and fourth but don't change positions.

Liquid Particles are arranged close together and jumbled with very little space between them. Particles slide freely past one another and change positions casually.

Gas Particles are arranged in no pattern and have a lot of space between them. Particles fly around chaotically with a lot of energy.
