Judge Not That You Be Not Judged

judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back

to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your

brother, "Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the

speck from your brother's eye.”

And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.

For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Romans 14:14-17

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.

Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 1 Corinthians 8:7-10

1Co 8:7 However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.1Co 8:8 But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.1Co 8:9 But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.1Co 8:10 For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols?

1) Judge ourselves (1 Cor.11:31)

2) Don’t be involved in the sins we teach against

3) Be motivated to help our neighbor rather than condemn

4) Be biblically grounded in the subject; avoid “doubtful disputations”.

5) The Church’s responsibility is to teach God’s Way of Life.
