• God promised Abraham that his people would become Kings and build nations.

• Covenant:– Binding agreement.

• Moses:– An Israelite leader

group of people.• Wherever they

settled they preserved their heritage.

• Lived in close communities.

• Passover:– Celebration of

the Israelite's freedom from slavery and their departure, or Exodus, from Egypt.

• Judaism had an important influence on two later religions.–Christianity.–Islam.
