HSS Planning & CoordinationTimely, effective planning and coordination are

essential to ensure adequate and sustainable HSS in a theater. Proper planning permits a systematic examination of all factors in a projected operation.

skilled, self-contained teams that can be easily inserted and extracted by AIR, SEA, and LAND delivery methods.

HSS in US Coast Guard OpsSince USCG HSS is limited, it may require

some HSS from nearby DOD unitsUSCG helicopters may be utilized in med-

evacs for convenience
