Speaker Pro Tem Haahr in the Chair. Prayer by Reverend Monsignor Robert A. Kurwicki, Chaplain. Great peace have they who love Thy law; nothing can make them stumble. (Psalm 119:165) Almighty and Most Merciful God, who grants to Your creation a strengthening spirit, make us strong in You that we may serve our people with great and genuine devotion. Give us steadfast minds with no room for unworthy thoughts, serene hearts which no trouble can disturb, and strong hands with which to do Your will in lifting up our State to higher patriotic living. We commend to Your loving care all who are serving our State, that by hard work may they gain for Missouri the fruits of justice, peace and joy. And the House says, “Amen!” The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited. The Speaker appointed the following to act as Honorary Pages for the Day, to serve without compensation: Knox Samuel Davis, Taylor Forck, Jack Schwartz, Elexa Lutz, Myles Lutz, and Mauryck Wages.
