The Angels' Song Ronald Hodges

Glory to God in the highestAnd on earth peace,To those on whom his favor rests.

Nativity Carol John Rutter1946 -

Born in a stable so bare,Born so long ago;Born 'neath light of starHe who loved us so.

Far away silent he lay,Born today, your homage pay;Christ is born for aye,Born on Christmas Day.

Far away silent layBorn today, your homage pay,For Christ is born for aye,Born on Christmas day.

Wise men from distant far land, shepherds from starry hillsWorship this babe so rare,Hearts with his warmth he fills.

Cradled by mother so fair,Tender her lullaby;Over her son so dearAngel hosts fill the sky.

Far away silent he lay,Born today, your homage pay;Christ is born for aye,Born on Christmas Day. )

This is the truth sent from of above,The truth of God, the rich and poor.

The first thing which I will relateIs that God did man create. The next thing which to you I'll tell,Woman was made with man to dwell.

Then, after this, 'twas God's own choiceTo place them both in paradise,There to remain, from evil free,Except they ate of such a tree.

And they did eat, which was a sin,And thus their ruin did begin.Ruined themselves, both you and me,And all of their posterity.

Thus we were heirs to endless woes,Till God the Lord did interpose,And so a promise soon did run,That he would redeem us by his Son.

Come all you worthy gentlemenThat may be standing by.Christ our blessed SaviorWas born on Christmas day.

The blessed Virgin MaryUnto the Lord did prayo we wish you the comfortAnd Tidings of Joy.

Christ our Blessed SaviorNow in the manger lay.

, He's lying in the manger,While the oxen feed on hay.

i

The blessed Virgin MaryUnto the Lord did prayo we wish you the comfortAnd Tidings of Joy.

Christmas night all Christians singTo hear the news the angels bring.News of great Christmas night joy,News of great mirth,News of our merciful King's birth.

When sin departs before they grace,Then life and health come in its place.Angels and men with joy may sing. All for to see the newborn King.

From out of darkness we have lightWhich makes the angels sing this night,Many happy ChristmasesHe live to see again.

God bless our generationWho live both far and nearAnd we wish them a happy,A happy new year.

God bless the ruler of this houseAnd long on may he reign. Many happy Christmases heLive to see again.

And we wish them a happy,A happy new year. Both now and evermore.Amen.
