JORDY VAN LANGEN, MSCI am a graduate from the research master ‘Behavioural Science’ at RadboudUniversity Nijmegen, with a focus on data-science. I performed my masters in-ternship with Dr. Rick Helmich and Prof. Karin Roelofs at the Donders Institute inNijmegen (NL). There, I studied effects of arousal in Parkinson’s disease tremor. My thesis is available as a pre-print here. Until June 2020, I worked as a junior re-searcher with Prof. Simon Lewis, Dr. Mac Shine and Dr. Claire O’Callaghan at theBrain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney, in Australia. Here I studied neuro-modulatory mechanisms in Parkinson’s Freezing linked with eye-tracking.However, due to the unforeseen COVID-19 situation, it was not possible to com-plete my project and that is why I am looking for a new (data-) scientic challen-ge in my career. I have ample experience with several modern, open-science,and complex data-analysis and programming techniques: Linear Mixed EffectsModeling, Structural Equation Modeling, Object Oriented programming inPython, and Package building in Rstudio. I have over 100+ experiences with mul-ti-modal data acquisition: sMRI / fMRI, eye-tracking, EMG, HR, GSR, and behavi-oural measurements. I love to program, have a keen interest in machine-learning, like to work with complex data and always try to translate that into aconcise and reproducible story, available for all kinds of target groups. Over thepast year, I have developed several open-source projects and share my codethrough my GitHub repository. I am part of the ‘rainclouds’ team and single au-thor of the accompanying R package. Currently, I work as a research assistant atthe Donders Institute in Nijmegen (NL).
