“Seal” of ApprovalSee how I worked with Norris Seminary
to revive their seal and bring it into the digital era
Looking for someone who is amazing at color
correction but also can skin the typography off a cow?
I’m your guy! Bezier curves to adjustment layers are
just some of my specialty. Well-versed in the Adobe
universe and proficient in both Mac and Windows
environments I’m ready to tackle any project you have
to throw at me! (Unless your project is to tackle me;
then I’ll be busy that day)
Along with my stunning hair I also am the happy
owner of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic
Design that suits me just fine and looks great sitting
on my bookshelf. Even though I am willing and able
to kern your paragraphs and give your headlines the
boldness they need I can slice, dice, chop, slip, and
slide my way through your video footage. (Even jump
and cut if I have to!)
That’s right I am not only a graphic
designer/photographer as my degree
would suggest I am also a video
editor/motion graphics designer/
color corrector/audio recorder/and
any other “ers” you might need in
a given week. I put the ed in editor,
the fil in film, and the Jordan in
Jordan Woods!

Logo DesignFor Norris Bible Baptist Seminary I wanted to
help them with their brand recognition, so I
started creating for them a logo and identity
package. Featured here in this design is a
silhouette of Dr. Norris himself preaching
the Gospel on his radio station in the 1930s.
I wanted to give them a logo that hearkened
back to the days of Dr. Norris and yet looked
current and fresh.

This was created to give the Seminary some materials to use for their promotions. I was given a large amount of copy to include inside this brochure and I did my best to fit them in and worked with them to reduced the words down a bit. What is displayed here is the finished piece that is currently being used in promotions.

The Seminary only had a small, old, fuzzy jpeg that they were using for their seal. They asked me if I could sharpen it. I decided that it would be best if I re-designed it as a vector image. After importing the image into Illustrator I redrew the entire seal and saved it as a vector image. Now they can use there seal anywhere at any size without pixelation.

One of the first projects I was assigned at Norris was to replace their aging website with something more modern and flexible. I used the Wix.com platform to create this highly customized and slick website for them. They still have me maintain the site and update it for them when needed. The site is live at www.NorrisSeminary.org.

These banners were created to be used on the homepage slideshow. They rotate every so often and every few months I am contacted to create a new one or modify an existing banner.
These offer a quick way for Norris Seminary to alert their visitors to anything going on at the Seminary.

Norris SeminaryPoster
This poster is also used in promotions for the Seminary. The President like the brochure designs so much that he wanted a poster that looked just like it. That is where the design scheme came from for this poster. They have been sent out along with the brochures to hundreds of people already.

A good friend of mine who joined the Army was leaving for Afghanistan and asked if I could design his platoons deployment t shirt. After speaking with him about it I started to work on it. This is the final design I came up with. I tried to make it as intimidating as possible while prominently displaying the wolf logo on the back of the shirt.

I worked with a ladies conference at a local church by designing the brochure for the event as well as producing a series of seven promotional and informative videos to be used during the conference.

Social Media ImagesFor my personal business page I try to upload some inspirational quote on a regular basis, I use Photoshop to edit these images together. The layer styles come in handy when I need to make text stand out.

DVD Case DesignAfter recording a play at a local church the client requested a DVD case to go along with the video. I was happy to help. Using some stock images and the brush tool in Photoshop, I created this design for his video.

Flyer Re-designA business that recently re-branded itself asked me if I could take one of their old flyers and convert it to their new design scheme. They supplied all of the images and after looking at their new website I found the appropriate fonts and colors and designed this version of their flyer for them.

Cinema Lights Logo
For my Advertising II class
I created this logo for the
fictitious event Cinema
Lights. It is a conference
held in Dallas, TX where
independent filmmakers
come to hear a well known
Hollywood director speak
on how to properly produce
a film. My inspiration for
this logo was the lights
on the outside of old
movie theaters. I tried to
incorporate that with the
different strokes and their
arrangement.

T Shirt DesignThis T-shirt design was
created for the event
attendees to purchase
and wear. It features a
ribbon that runs around
the shirt telling the
Filmmakers Journey.
Each silhouette shows a
different part. The order
is Ponder, Plan, Pitch,
Produce, Prepare, and
Pose.

Ticket Designs
Each of these tickets
are designed to have
a different icon on the
front each day. They
feature a removable
stub that can be
collected at the event
and the seat location is
prominently displayed.

Direct Mailer
This invitation is designed
to be sent out to people in
the Dallas area to get them
to attend the event. I used a
gate fold on the front to make
it unique from the rest of the
mail they would be receiving
with this. On the inside is
more information as well as a
return slip that they can mail
back to reserve their ticket.

Event PosterThis poster was
modeled after the old
movie posters from the
early 20th century. I
made sure to include
all of the important
information in a logical
way that promoted good
eye flow.

Stage Design
I was tasked to create a mock-up
of what the stage would look like at
this event. I chose to use two large
screens on either side of the speak-
er and to line the front of the stage
with the slogan of the whole event.
