NIS is the Federal network operator of navigation‐information services with a mission to create an environment for the increasingly broad use of GLONASS technology and to facilitate its expansion into the Russian and foreign markets. NIS operates navigation information platform, providing infrastructure facilities for navigation‐based services in

Top‐priority tendencies of international development

Currently the process of navigation‐information GLONASS technologies projects implementation is in progress, together with rendering of corresponding services in 

the countries of CIS, the Middle East, India, Central and South America.

India is the main partner of  the Russian Federation in the international market of GNSS based applications. 

MOU signed by Roscosmos, NIS and ISRO in March, 2010 is under implementation.
