Marine Case Studies:

LNG Vessels Hitting the WaterThough the abundance of domestic natural gas is a key driver for all of the HHP industries, the marine sector is seeing additional incentive in the form of fast-approaching Emission Control Area (ECA) requirements in North American and European coastal waters. As natural gas offers the most economical way to meet these standards, the past year has seen a dramatic increase in the number of marine end users evaluating and confirming plans to construct new vessels that operate partially or entirely on LNG. Various marine vessel owners and operators (i.e. end-users) will highlight the major advancements and investments being made within this sector, the partnerships that have been critical to these initiatives, expected outcomes and definitions of success, expected net cost savings, and these companies’ plans for the future.

Be a part of the industry’s leading show!Industry buzz led to nearly doubled event attendance from 2012 to 2013.

As the event continues to grow, more than 2,000 high horsepower stakeholders are expected to join us in New Orleans.

Marine Bunkering:

Fueling Solutions for Whatever Floats Your BoatAs natural gas for domestic marine operations becomes a closer reality, various strategies have emerged to supply LNG to these vessels. Session participants will discuss the various options, including dock-side fueling via tanker truck, bunker barge delivery, direct loading from a dock-side LNG plant, or other similar strategies. Panelists will help attendees navigate LNG production, fuel sourcing and delivery, regulatory and safety requirements, and other key considerations in the development of a natural gas fueling plan.

LNG Vessels:

Design to DeliveryWith the influx of interest in natural gas powered ships and the rapid development of LNG marine projects in the North American market, natural gas engine and equipment technology providers are seeing a surge in demand for a variety of vessel applications. These panelists, including representatives from classification societies, engine manufacturers, LNG tank and fuel system suppliers, and other equipment providers, specialize in the natural gas marine industry and can ensure that your project runs as smoothly as possible from vessel design to delivery. These panelists will discuss their ability to help end-users navigate the selection of engine and fuel types, and to optimize diesel displacement in order to maximize operational cost savings.
