The educational landscape is quickly evolving as a result of continuous advances in technol-ogy as well as a changing learner. Today’s educators must anticipate and recognize this shift, implement needed changes, and lead by example to meet the diverse needs of key stake-holders in the 21st century.
The Texas Association of School Administrators is proud to offer, in collaboration with ESC Region 11 and Scholastic, an opportunity to engage with Eric Sheninger, noted principal, speaker, and author. This event is designed especially for superintendents, central office and campus leaders, and teachers.
Attendees will learn to harness the power of today’s digital tools and social media to improve communications, enhance public relations, establish a brand presence, increase student engagement, transform learning spaces, discover opportunity, and grow professionally like never before.
About Eric SheningerEric Sheninger has quickly emerged as an expert in imple-menting technology to transform learning, teaching, and
community engagement. His work concentrates on preparing children to enter a world of professions that don’t yet exist, while creating sustainable models for leading and learning to move schools and districts forward in a digital era.
During his tenure as principal, New Milford High School became a globally recognized model for innovative practices. From launching one of the first
Bring Your Own Device initiatives in New Jersey, to breaking down communication barriers using social media, Sheninger and his team navigated many of the challenges U.S. schools face as they prepare students for college and careers.
Sheninger now helps other school leaders embrace and effectively utilize technology. He was a featured Thought Leader at TASA’s 2015 Midwinter Conference.
