February 21 & 22 ‐ USA to the Holy LandYour spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart on your internationalflight. You will be welcomed to Amman, Jordan by ourrepresentative and transferred to the hotel for dinner andovernight. February 23 ‐ Jerash and Mount NeboThis morning you will explore Jerash, one of the best preservedRoman cities in the world. Stroll through the oval piazza and wanderalong colonnaded streets etched by the wheels of ancient chariots.Stand in the grand theatre where an onstage whisper can be heardin the top row. Later in the day, you travel south to mount Neboand look out over the Promised Land as Moses did. Check into yourDead Sea Hotel for dinner and overnight.

February 24 ‐ PetraTravel south from Amman for a visit to the famous Rock City ofPetra. Just getting to Petra is an adventure. You’ll ride a horse orcarriage to the Siq, the long, narrow entrance into Petra. Oncethere, you’ll marvel at the rose colored rock and extensive carving.The whole city was literally cut into the cliff sides. In the afternoon,enjoy a spectacular jeep ride through the desert in Wadi Rum.Return to the Jordan Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.

February 25 – Masada, Qumran and JerichoThis morning, you will cross into Israel. Enjoy a visit to Masada, thespectacular mountaintop fortress built by Herod and famous as thelast stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. Ridethe cable car to the top to explore the fortress. Peer down uponthe remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Travel toQumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss themysterious community of the Essenes who once lived on the shoresof the Dead Sea. In Jericho, you will visit the ruins of the ancientcity, which was conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6:20). From Jericho, youwill see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt. 4:1‐11).

Pass through the Judean Wilderness that inspired the parable of theGood Samaritan on your way to Bethlehem for dinner andovernight.

February 26 – Bethlehem and JerusalemYou’ll visit the cave revered as the place Jesus was born (Matt. 1:18‐25; Luke 2:1‐7). The church that was constructed on the site is theworld’s oldest functioning church. Nearby, you will view Shepherds’Field where the Good News was first heard. Stand atop the Mountof Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “GoldenCity” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount and Dome of theRock. Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heavenfrom the Mount of Olives (Acts 1:16). Visit the Garden ofGethsemane where Jesus prayed for God’s will to be done (Matt.26:30). Enter the Old City and visit the Southern Wall Excavationsof the Temple including the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall.Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of the Old City once linedwith shops, now partially restored. View the Pool of Bethesda (John5: 1‐31) where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle, and sing ahymn in the Church of St. Anne. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortresswhere Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23: 1 ‐ 11). Walkthe Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross”, and stand in reverence atthe Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Check into your Jerusalem hotelfor dinner and overnight.

February 27 – JerusalemStand in the Upper Room, revered as the site of the Last Supper(Mark 14:12‐26). Mt. Zion is also where you’ll see King David’s Tomb.Visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas (Matt. 26:57) whereJesus was imprisoned for a night. Explore Hezekiah's Tunnel, anamazing engineering feat that was dug from either end and met inthe middle! (Note: Those who are claustrophobic may want tomeet the group at the other end of the tunnel!). Worship at theGarden Tomb (Matt. 27:33). This afternoon, walk the museum andgrounds of Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, as a reminder ofwhy we must never let this happen again.

February 28 – Caesarea, Megiddo and NazarethVisit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre at Caesarea, a center of theearly Christians. Here, Cornelius became the first Gentile convert to thenew religion (Acts 10) and Paul was imprisoned before being taken toRome for trial. Travel the ancient caravan route to Tel Megiddo where20 different cities lie superimposed upon each other. Travel toNazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Luke 26‐56). Explore the NazarethVillage, a living presentation of the life, times, and teachings of Jesus.Recall Jesus’ first miracle as you ride through Cana (John 2:1‐ 11).

March 1 – The Galilee With your Bible in hand, cross the waters of the Sea of Galilee aboarda Kinnereth Sailing Company boat. Along the way, you will enjoy aspecial on board worship service. You’ll arrive in Capernaum, whereJesus chose to center his ministry. Visit the synagogue site where Jesusmost certainly taught and worshipped (Matt. 4:13; Mark 3:1, 8:5 and14). Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached to thepeople (Matt. 5‐7). At Tabgha, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish andthe Loaves (Luke 9:10‐17). Remember your baptism at the YardenitBaptismal site, where the Jordan River exits the Sea of Galilee on itsjourney southward (Matthew 3). Return to Amman for dinner andovernight.
