The John Street Corridor Improvements project
aims to enhance the public realm of John
Street with a unique streetscape character
that is representative of its civic and cultural
signifi cance. The new John Street is conceived
to become the iconic cultural corridor for
Toronto.
The project was initiated in 2009 through the
Toronto Entertainment District BIA Master
Plan. It then went through an Environmental
Assessment from 2010-2012. The project is
now going through its preliminary and detailed
design phases.
