Supporting 16 schools across 4 faculties

Currently Focus has been on the
provision of resources “from cradle to grave” including Checking approval
documents Placing orders for books. Weeding stock Helping populate reading
lists Managing budgets

Currently Interacting with academics
mainly on an ‘ad hoc’ informal basis
Attending meetings as and when invited
L&LR presence is often seen as an afterthought by Schools and Faculties e.g. validations/approvals

business partner role around academic engagement Cements the current modus
operandi Builds on the existing
relationships Reflects the centrality of
resources at the heart of our service offer
Leading to more added value

Greater emphasis on analysing data about usage of resources to inform value for money decision-making
Initiate meetings with Heads of Schools to discuss resources, their usage and students’ engagement with L&LR
And how best L&LR can support the Schools’ students and their future developments – academic engagement plans
