Sadness and Crying"Therefore I will wail and howl, I

will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the jackals and mourning as the ostriches.“ Micah 1:8

And a companion to ostriches“ Job 30:29.

Job 39:13-1813 "The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, but

are they the pinions and plumage of love? 14 For she leaves her eggs to the earth and

lets them be warmed on the ground, 15 forgetting that a foot may crush them and

that the wild beast may trample them. 16 She deals cruelly with her young, as if they

were not hers; though her labor be in vain, yet she has no fear,

17 because God has made her forget wisdom and given her no share in understanding.

18 When she rouses herself to flee, she laughs at the horse and his rider.

The Picture of Cruel Unconcern

Proud to wave her beautiful plumage. Leaving her eggs. Indifferent to her children’s potential to

be crushed. Hardened to her children as if they are

not hers. Has no caution, no fear – so, no

understanding She runs quickly away

Cruel Unconcern

1 How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.

2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

3 Even the jackals draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

Lamentations 4:1-3Her cruelty?

Her indifference and inaction!

Don’t do things as the Ostriches!
