Following a successful Frankfurt International Motor Show and recent

discussions between Jaguar Land Rover and UK Government ministers,

JLR confirms a 355 million investment in a new facility to manufacture

all-new, advanced technology, low-emission engines in the UK.

The announcement of the investment by JLR, a subsidiary of Indias Tata

Motors, was marked by a visit to the companys Solihull vehicle production

plant by Rt Hon Nick Clegg MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Rt Hon Dr Vince

Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills.

The new advanced engine facility will bebuilt at i54 South Staffordshire, a

business park near Wolverhampton in the UKs Midlands.

Jaguar C-X16 unveiledFull details have been made public

on the Jaguar C-X16 productionconcept, set to make its global debut

at the Frankfurt Motor Show 13

September. Designed by the same

team that produced the Jaguar XJ,

XF and XK headed by Jaguar

Director of Design Ian Callum the

C-X16 concept is a precursor to future Jaguar sports cars that will aim to

set new class benchmarks in design, vehicle dynamics and technology.

Zara Phillips receives firstRange Rover Evoque

Land Rover Ambassador Zara Phillips is the first person to take delivery of

a new Range Rover Evoque. Ms Phillips drove away the 5-door Stornaway

Grey Evoque from the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, where she was

competing.The Range Rover Evoque has officially entered UK showrooms

and Land Rover has received over 20,000 pre-orders worldwide with 6,000

of these in the UK. Launch events are taking place at Land Rover

dealerships across the UK with customers taking delivery of their vehicles

from Friday 9 September onwards.

admiration and no less so than in Canada, where the car featured on the

motoring supplement front cover of all three national daily newspapers in

August. Communications Manager Barbara Barrett of JLR Canada said:

The car has really created a lot of excitement amongst media world-wide,

excitement weve fuelled all year, gathering momentum towards the

outstanding global media drive event in Liverpool. The results are fantastic.
