ALL INDIA ESSAY WRITING COMPETETION EVENT 2014-ORGANISED BY SRI

RAMACHANDRA MISSION IN COLLOBARATION WITH THE UNITED NATIONS

INFORMATION CENTRE FOR INDIA AND BHUTAN

In the 2014 edition of the event, which marks the 10th consecutive year of

partnership between SRCM & UNIC (UNITED NATIONS INFORMATION CENTRE FOR

INDIA AND BHUTAN) around 11000 institutions were participated.

In this event the following students got prizes in AP1C zone on 01-02-2015.

Passed out 18 students of JKC were applied online applications for IBPS CWE (Institute

of Banking Personal Selection Common Written Exam) Dec-2014 in JKC lab with

assistance of JKC Team.

The Job Drive was conducted on 1.09.2014 at P.R. Govt. Degree College (Autonomous), Kakinada. The

registration had started at 9’O Clock and closed at 11’ O Clock. Overall 144 students got registered and they

were from all East Godavari District Degree Colleges. One day before the campus drive, Lt. Dr. M.

Sathyanarayana garu has given paper notification regarding the job drive.

AGED COUPLE ON TASK OF FULFILLING DREAMS

OF DEPARTED DAUGHTER

Their daughter died in a road accident a decade ago She was like a flower ready to blossom but fate had cut

short her life. A decade has passed since she died in a road accident, but she stays in the memories of all

those who knew her.

A native of Kakinada, Kuchibhotla Vasanthi had big dreams, which are now being fulfilled by her aged

parents.

Vasanthi had completed Masters in Business Administration at the Indian Institute of Rural Management,

Anand, in 1997 and soon joined a Berhampore-based NGO Grama Vikas to gain practical experience.

She had also taken up field work with National Tree Growers’ Cooperative Federation.

She was in the midst of her project work when tragedy struck.

Series of lectures

Nevertheless, Vasanthi’s parents Kameswara Rao and Jyotirmayi took up themselves the onerous task of

spreading her ideals and to do that, they set up Kuchibhotla Vasanthi Foundation.

The aged couple, both pensioners, had since been organising foundation lectures, elocution and debating

competitions among other activities in the fond memory of their daughter by expending their own resources.

The lectures covering the topic ‘Development Echoes and Awakening Voices’ were delivered by J.

Manohara Rao of the Department of Economics of the University of Hyderabad, G. Muralidhar, chief

mentor of Akshara Network for Development Support Services, Hyderabad, and Kuchibhotla Prasad,

retired chief general manager of the Reserve Bank of India.

Kuchibhotla Vasanthi Foundation Chairman Kameswara Rao organised lectures since 1998 and all of them

were brought out in the form of books. Some of his books are “Main Currents in Indian History”, Translated

“ EARLY INDIA OF ROMILA THAPAR”, “Indian History and Culture”. He is also the Editor of

Comprehensive History and culture of Andhra Pradesh, Toorpu Godavari Zilla-Charitra- Samskruthi

“They are spending at least Rs. 50,000 every year from their own pocket. For them there is no better

satisfying thing than to sustain and share the values cherished by Vasanthi,”

Facilitator: Prof. C. BALAJI Ph.D IIMA

Former Professor of IRMA

Prof. C. Balaji has a doctorate from IIMA. He is a trainer, teacher, Consultant , Coach, Researcher

and Facilitator in HR, HRD, OD and Behavioral Science. He is passionate about making a significant

difference to human life through his sessions and transforming – thinking.

He has extensively worked with managers of IT sector and NGO’s. Previously professor Balaji has

worked in AVP and Head, Symphony University at Symphony Teleca Corporation, Senior Director at

Sasken Communication Technologies and Principal Consultant at Satyam Computers at Byrraju

Foundations.

After almost 30 years of work experience, Professor C. Balaji has taken on partnering with people to

cause incredible performance as his life’s purpose. Through his training programmes conducting

workshops, coaching, mentoring and writing he has played a role in individuals and teams causing

incredible performance in work and non work aspects. On reflection, he notices that he had himself

caused incredible performance in some situations. A fellow of IIM, Ahmadabad, and Professor Balaji

was an Academician for 17 years – including 13 years as a faculty member of IRMA, and about 4

years as the Director of the Academy of HRD- and in corporate sector for almost 13 years.

He has expertise in Human Resource Management, Behavioral Science, Organization Development

and Research Methods. He has taught in Ph. D. Level and MBA level Programmes, conducting

Training Programmes to the Managers and leaders, Facilitated Organization change interventions,

conducted and guided Research: and published books, papers and articles. He was the editor of

National HRD news letter for about 11 years.

Balaji is eclectic – and non conventional in His work that create new paradigms of ways of being,

thinking, acting, and behaving.

Lecturer in charge of the department of English Sri V. Srinivasa Rao invited, the president of the function Dr. M.

Satyanarayana, Principal, Ms. Y. Padmaja & the chief guest Mr. Poorna Prasad, on to the dias.

Mr. Purna Prasad Maddikonda is an eminent council for behavioral sciences with MBA in HR and MS in

psychotherapy and Counseling. He started his career in Investigative Journalism at his birth place Rajahmundry.

From 8th standard he actively participated in “Andhra Kesari Science Club” and “Sahithi Vedica” at

Rajahmundry.

Mr. Prasad has moved to Chennai for better exposure and worked in IT in different positions from manager to

the director positions. He also ventured in mining sector to prove that we can handle any sort of work in life.

Right now, Mr. Purna is HR director for “Micro Clean Environmental Solutions Pvt., Ltd., Coimbatore” He also

director for training and curriculum development for “Ken-I” Communication skill provider for schools and

colleges in Chennai.

Mr. Poorna Prasad started an institute on 2002 namely “Brain Mantra” in Chennai to give free training and

counseling for the poor and needy.

Students of JKC-PR Govt. College attended the Wipro Off Campus Drive

Conducted by Dr. B.V. Raju Institute of Computer Science- Bheemavaram. 18 students

wrote online written examination out of which 5 were shortlisted for Interview round.

Students of JKC –PR GDC [A] attended TCS Business Processing Service campus drive organized by Aditya

Degree College, Kakinada on 28-12-2014 for 2014 & 2015 Degree students. In the selections three students 1. B.

Sudharshan Babu (3rd MPC), 2. Raju (B.Com-2014 passed out), 3. S. Govinda Kalyani (MPC-2014 passed out) got

offers as BPS in TCS pune.

MOCK INTERVIEW FOR TCS SELECTED STUDENTS

TCS Open Ignite invited final year mathematics students for online examination.

40 students were registered and attended online examination conducted by TCS

openseesame portal. 8 students were selected for Interview as student programmer

dated on 08-01-2015. JKC Team Arranged mock interview for TCS interview selected

candidates.

On 8th & 9th of Jan 2014 TCS called the 8 shortlisted candidates for final

Technical/ HR round to recruit as a student programmer. Out of 8 students 4 students

4.P.Nagendra (3rd MPE) crossed the selection and secured the offer letters from Tata
