L7 Solutions - GM Advisory & Professional Services July 2011 – June 2012 Prior to taking redundancy following L7’s acquisition by Amcom Jim was L7’s General Manager for Advisory & Professional Services Group responsible for L7’s PMO and Advisory divisions. The core components of this role include client relationship management and ongoing group strategy development as well as the day to day team management, supporting the pre-sales activities and overseeing the delivery of the professional services engagements. Responsibilities: Manage and direct Advisory and Professional Service operations, to meet budget and defined goals. Tender and bid management support for wider sales and consulting teams Ownership of the Advisory and Professional Services P&L’s. Direct short-term and long-term planning to support strategic business goals. Monitoring and reporting on operational issues achievements and opportunities to L7’s Board. Management and control of departmental expenditure within agreed corporate budgets. Establish, monitor and reporting against departmental performance goals. Ongoing management of L7’s Advisory and Professional Service relationship with customers, resellers,

vendors. Establish and maintain channels of communication between customers, L7 resources and all other

stakeholders involved in service delivery. Key Achievements: Streamlined L7’s Advisory group and realigned its core offerings and capabilities to support the wider

integrations business and in doing so increased revenue and GP results in line with business targets. Achieved 50% growth across L7’s Security, Risk and Compliance consulting practice. Played a pivotal role in L7’s ISO 9001 and Cisco Gold re-certifications. Established a framework for enabling L7 to identify, develop and implement new consulting offerings. Established L7’s Cloud Consulting capability and core offerings to support the wider business’s Cloud

strategy and solutions. Established L7’s Advisory team as a leader in ITIL, P3M3 and BPMN consulting winning a number of major

consulting engagements with both government and non government clients. L7 Solutions - Professional Services Manager Aug 2009 – July 2011 As the Professional Services Manager Jim was responsible for managing, developing and leading the Project Services Group and had ultimate responsibility for the delivery and management of all client ICT integration engagements undertaken by L7. Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the content, quality assurance and delivery of all Integration Services projects and

consulting services. Responsible for the recruitment, training and cessation of direct reports. Responsible for the management of the Project Services P&L. Responsible for input into and review and approval of large tender responses Managing successful outcomes of all escalated client project delivery issues. Manage L7’s overall relationship with customers, resellers, suppliers and other relevant parties to the

benefit of projects. Manage project scheduling, reporting, invoicing and project tracking systems. Program Management of large engagements.

Key Achievements:

Positioned L7 to win the major 5 year Wester Power outsource contract (8 million per annum). Achieved ISO 9001 Accreditation for the group and oversaw the yearly reviews with zero non

conformances. Achieved 40% growth across L7’s Project Services team and the placement of 2 FTE’s within the Wester

Power account on an ongoing basis. Implementation of the first VBlock implementation in WA. Program Management of ENI’s Asia Pac head office relocation incorporating the management, selection and

fit out of a dedicated off site primary data centre and two floors of the new head office location and the subsequent relocation of all existing ICT infrastructure and end user hardware.

L7 Solutions - Project Services Manager Jan 2007 – Aug 2009 Jim took on the role of L7’s Project Services Manager to establish its capability and frameworks to deliver complex ICT Integration projects. Over a period of two years Jim helped L7 to achieve 100% year on year growth across the business and established a solid management and delivery framework enabling the business to successfully bid for, win and successfully deliver a number of major engagements with top tier clients in both the public and private sectors. Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the establishment and the ongoing development, administration and maintenance

of the L7 Project Management Methodology in-line with the L7 Quality Management System. Responsible for the recruitment, training and separation of all Project Managers and support staff. Project Manage internal and external projects in-line with the L7 Project Management framework. Ensure the delivery of L7’s contractual obligations within time and budget while meeting the performance

objectives specified. Review and approval of Project management scope and services within large tender responses Management of key relationships with customers, resellers, suppliers and other relevant parties to ensure

the successful delivery of engagements. Management of project scheduling, reporting and project tracking systems. Management of Integrations Projects in line with L7 Project Management Framework. Key Achievements: Overseen the development of L7’s Project Services practice from 2 FTE to 8. Established internal project tracking solution and in doing so reduced overheads and improved quality of

Personal Achievements My wife and I backpacked around the world travelling through 23 countries across 4 Continents in 12 months. This trip was an amazing experience that gave me a greater insight into many different cultures, lifestyles and subsequently attitudes on various issues around the world. My travels have allowed me the opportunity to achieve many of my lifetime ambitions these include: Meeting interesting people from many different backgrounds and walks of life Ascended Mount Kinabalu (Borneo) Explored Machu Picchu (Peru) Travelled the Trans Siberian railway through Russia Climbed the Great Wall of China Travelled by cargo boat down the Patagonia Canal (Chile) and Yangzi River (China) 5 day White Water Rafting trip down the Kali Gandaki river in Nepal Interests I have had the good fortune to experience a variety of different activities and I am always keen to seek out new adventures and interesting places across the globe; some of the most enjoyable in the past being rock climbing, glacier walking, skydiving and whenever possible snowboarding. More regularly; I like to swim, mountain bike and enjoy walking. I also hold my ‘Open Water PADI Diving’ Certificate and my wife and I like to dive when we can.
